Inverted pendulum type vehicle
Abstract
Electric locomotion means comprising a dynamically stabilised vehicle ( 10 ) comprising two wheels ( 11 ), said vehicle ( 10 ) having a transverse axis defined by an axis of rotation of said wheels ( 11 ) and a longitudinal axis that is perpendicular to said transverse axis and defines a direction of advancement of said vehicle ( 10 ), said vehicle comprising a pivot ( 24 ) arranged along said longitudinal axis and rotatable about said longitudinal axis, said pivot ( 24 ) being configured to transfer a steering control to said wheels ( 11 ); a seat ( 44 ) positioned on said vehicle; characterised in that said seat ( 44 ) is configured to accommodate a user affected by motor disability of the lower limbs, said seat ( 44 ) being tillable sideways by a lateral shift of the user's weight; said locomotion means further comprising transmission means ( 25 ) arranged between said seat ( 44 ) and said pivot ( 24 ), said transmission means ( 25 ) being configured to transfer a tilting movement of the seat ( 44 ) to said pivot ( 24 ).
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . Electric locomotion means comprising a dynamically stabilised vehicle comprising two wheels, said vehicle having a transverse axis defined by an axis of rotation of said wheels and a longitudinal axis that is perpendicular to said transverse axis and defines a direction of advancement of said vehicle, said vehicle comprising a pivot arranged along said longitudinal axis and rotatable about said longitudinal axis, said pivot being configured to transfer a steering control to said wheels; a seat positioned on said vehicle; wherein said seat is configured to accommodate a user affected by motor disability of the lower limbs, said seat being tiltable sideways by a lateral shift of the user's weight; said locomotion means further comprising transmission means arranged between said seat and said pivot, said transmission means being configured to transfer a tilting movement of the seat to said pivot, said locomotion means comprising raising and lowering means of said seat;
wherein the electric locomotion comprise a first rod, a second rod that is centrally pivoted to said first rod, said second rod having a first end that is pivotally fixed to said vehicle; said raising and lowering means comprising a linear actuator that is fixed to a first end of said first rod, said seat being associated with a second end of said first rod, and in comprising support means for the user's knees and/or shins, said support means being connected at a second end of said second rod.
2 . Locomotion means according to claim 1 , wherein said transmission means comprise a connecting plate that is fixed to said seat and to said pivot.
3 - 4 . (canceled)
5 . Locomotion means according claim 1 , wherein said seat is configured to slide along said first rod and is fixed to one end of a first bar having the other end pivoted at a predetermined point of said second rod.
6 . (canceled)
7 . Locomotion means according to claim 1 , comprising a threaded rod having a knob, which is associated with said first rod to adjust the tilt of said seat.
8 . Locomotion means according to claim 1 , comprising a base plate; a plurality of elastic shims positioned between said base plate and said vehicle.
9 . Locomotion means according to claim 8 , comprising at least one switch, located on an upper surface of said vehicle; a plurality of elastic dampers located between said base plate and said vehicle, said elastic dampers being configured to compress with the user's weight so that said base plate and said vehicle come closer to activate said switches.
10 . Locomotion means according to claim 1 , comprising at least one hydraulic piston positioned on said vehicle and configured to extend to touch the ground and stabilise the vehicle ( 10 ).Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
