Garment hanger collection apparatus

Abstract

Garment hanger collection apparatus, garment hanger holders, and garment hanger binders are disclosed. The garment hanger holder may include a holder member having an elongate slot sized to receive hooks of one or more garment hangers in a first orientation to hang the one or more garment hangers from the hooks. The garment hanger holder may additionally include a planar orientation member fixedly attached to, or formed with, the holder member and configured to obstruct and prevent the hooks from being inserted in the elongate slot in an orientation different from the first orientation.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A garment hanger holder, comprising:
 a holder member having an elongate slot sized to receive hooks of one or more garment hangers in a first orientation to hang the one or more garment hangers from the hooks; and   a planar orientation member fixedly attached perpendicular to, or formed perpendicular with, the holder member and configured to obstruct and prevent the hooks from being inserted in the elongate slot in an orientation different from the first orientation.   
     
     
         2 . The garment hanger holder of  claim 1 , wherein the slot divides the holder member between an upper portion and a lower portion, the upper and lower portions each having a length in a direction parallel to the slot. 
     
     
         3 . The garment hanger holder of  claim 2 , further comprising a hood configured to prevent hanging the hooks of the one or more garment hangers from at least a substantial part of the upper portion. 
     
     
         4 . The garment hanger holder of  claim 1 , wherein the orientation member is U-shaped.
