Claims

Abstract

In an embodiment, an electroacoustic transducer has a piezoelectric speaker 20, housing, support member 73, and elastically deformable adhesive layer 74. The piezoelectric speaker 20 has a vibration plate 11 with a periphery 111, and a piezoelectric element 12 joined to the vibration plate 11. The housing houses the piezoelectric speaker 20. The support member 73 is constituted by a part of the housing or by a separate member, and supports the periphery 111. The adhesive layer 74 is provided between the periphery 111 and support member 73. The electroacoustic transducer can offer excellent high-frequency characteristics.

We/I claim: 
     
         1 . An electroacoustic transducer comprising:
 a piezoelectric speaker having a vibration plate with a periphery, and a piezoelectric element joined to the vibration plate;   a housing for housing the piezoelectric speaker; a support member constituted by a part of the housing or by a separate member, to support the periphery; and   an elastically deformable adhesive layer provided between the periphery and support member.   
     
     
         2 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 1 , wherein the adhesive layer is constituted by an elastically deformable synthetic resin material. 
     
     
         3 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 1 , wherein the adhesive layer is double-sided tape. 
     
     
         4 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 1 , further comprising a dynamic speaker housed inside the housing. 
     
     
         5 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 2 , further comprising a dynamic speaker housed inside the housing. 
     
     
         6 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 3 , further comprising a dynamic speaker housed inside the housing. 
     
     
         7 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 1 , wherein the vibration plate has a disk shape, the support member has multiple projections to support the periphery of the vibration plate, and the adhesive layer is provided between the periphery and the multiple projections. 
     
     
         8 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 2 , wherein the vibration plate has a disk shape, the support member has multiple projections to support the periphery of the vibration plate, and the adhesive layer is provided between the periphery and the multiple projections. 
     
     
         9 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 3 , wherein the vibration plate has a disk shape, the support member has multiple projections to support the periphery of the vibration plate, and the adhesive layer is provided between the periphery and the multiple projections. 
     
     
         10 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 4 , wherein the vibration plate has a disk shape, the support member has multiple projections to support the periphery of the vibration plate, and the adhesive layer is provided between the periphery and the multiple projections. 
     
     
         11 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 7 , wherein the multiple projections project toward the periphery of the vibration plate. 
     
     
         12 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 7 , wherein the support member further has an annular body facing the periphery of the vibration plate on which the multiple projections are provided. 
     
     
         13 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 11 , wherein the support member further has an annular body facing the periphery of the vibration plate on which the multiple projections are provided. 
     
     
         14 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 1 , wherein the vibration plate has a disk shape, the support member has an annular body with a first end facing the periphery, and the adhesive layer is provided between the periphery and the first end. 
     
     
         15 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 2 , wherein the vibration plate has a disk shape, the support member has an annular body with a first end facing the periphery, and the adhesive layer is provided between the periphery and the first end. 
     
     
         16 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 3 , wherein the vibration plate has a disk shape, the support member has an annular body with a first end facing the periphery, and the adhesive layer is provided between the periphery and the first end. 
     
     
         17 . An electroacoustic transducer according to  claim 4 , wherein the vibration plate has a disk shape, the support member has an annular body with a first end facing the periphery, and the adhesive layer is provided between the periphery and the first end.
