Abstract
A vertical fire pit with a cap to fully enclose a vertical tube having perforations, supported by a plate and base to hold one or more logs in a vertical position. The plate may be non-perforated to allow for collection of ash and leftover unburned log pieces at the bottom of the vertical tube or the plate may be perforated so that ash may fall into an ashtray allowing for easy collection and clean-up.
Claims

. A vertical fire pit, wherein the fire pit is comprised of:
a base assembly; a plate; a vertical tube; and a cap.
. The fire pit of claim 1 , further comprised of an ashtray.
. The fire pit of claim 1 , wherein said base assembly is further comprised of a plurality of support legs.
. The fire pit of claim 3 , wherein said base assembly is positioned underneath the ashtray.
. The fire pit of claim 1 , wherein said plate includes a plurality of perforations.
. The fire pit of claim 3 , wherein said base assembly is positioned underneath the plate.
. The tire pit of claim 1 , wherein said plate is non-perforated.
. The fire pit of claim 1 , wherein said vertical tube is comprised of vertical sides connected via vertical pins inserted into hinge knuckles along the opposing vertical edges of each side, wherein each vertical side is further configured having a plurality of cut out openings.
. The fire pit of claim 1 , wherein said vertical tube is comprised of two halves connected via a plurality of screws inserted into corresponding screw openings, wherein each half is further configured having a plurality of cut out openings.
. The fire pit of claim 1 , wherein said vertical tube is comprised of side assemblies manufactured from sheet metal.
. The fire pit of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of cut out openings is covered by a mesh screen located inside of and adjacent to the vertical side.
. The fire pit of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of cut out openings is covered by a mesh screen located inside of and adjacent to the vertical side.
. The fire pit of claim 8 , wherein said sheet metal is comprised of cut-out shapes.
. The fire pit of claim 1 , wherein said cap is slightly larger than the vertical tube thereby fitting securely over the top of the vertical tube.
. The fire pit of claim 1 , wherein said cap is connected to the vertical tube via a hinge.
. The fire pit of claim 1 , wherein said cap is further comprised of a perforated, mesh covered opening.
. The fire pit of claim 1 , wherein the vertical tube houses at least one log as a fuel source for the fire pit.
. The fire pit of claim 17 , wherein the vertical tube may receive at least one additional to on top of partially consumed log such that the fire will continue to burn without interruption.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
