What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method for determining the wagon sequence of a rail vehicle including a plurality of wagons, comprising:
 capturing points of time of an occurrence of a same external mechanical effect on the wagons; and   evaluating output signals of a sensor attached to a shaft of the wagons associated with the step of capturing points of time.   
     
     
         2 . A method for examining a train completeness of a rail vehicle including a plurality of wagons, comprising:
 comparing an actually determined train sequence to a train reference sequence; and   evaluating output signals of a sensor attached to a shaft of the wagons for determining a current train sequence.
