Abstract
The invention in suitable embodiments is directed to purified clathrin protein therapeutics. In one aspect, one or more purified clathrin protein therapeutic, formed in whole or in part from isolated, synthetic and or recombinant amino acid residues comprising in whole or in part one or more clathrin heavy chain protein and isoforms thereof, forms one or more type of therapeutic agent for treating a psychiatric and/or neuropsychiatric disease, condition, or disorder, in vivo or in vitro.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedIn view of the foregoing, what is claimed is:
. A pharmaceutical composition with a molecular mass of at least about 170 kilodaltons comprising a plurality of manmade purified self-assembling purified clathrin protein molecules.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition is further capable of comprising a clathrin heavy chain protein.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 2 , wherein the clathrin heavy chain protein comprises an amino acid sequence (SEQ ID NO: 1) between 1 and 1675 amino acids, inclusive, or an amino acid sequence (SEQ ID NO: 2) between 1 and 1640 amino acids, inclusive.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 3 , wherein the clathrin heavy chain protein is further capable of comprising an isoform of SEQ ID NO: 1 or SEQ ID NO: 2.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 2 , comprising multiple purified clathrin heavy chain proteins.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 2 , further comprising a clathrin light chain protein disposed adjacent to the clathrin heavy chain.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , further comprising one or more adaptor protein disposed adjacent to the clathrin protein.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , further comprising a masking moiety.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the clathrin protein comprises self-assembling synthetic, recombinant, biologically modified, biologically active, modified, purified, genetically modified, hybridized or chiral protein molecules, or a combination thereof.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the clathrin protein is stable in serum.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the clathrin protein is non-immunogenic or non-toxic, or a combination thereof.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the clathrin protein is further capable of targeting a disease, condition, or disorder.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 12 , wherein the disease, condition, or disorder is psychiatric or neuropsychiatric, or a combination thereof.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the clathrin protein is further capable of comprising a compound protein.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the clathrin protein is further capable of non-invasively crossing a biological barrier.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 15 , wherein the biological barrier is an anal, blood brain, blood-cerebrospinal, blood vessel, capillary, cell, cell membrane, circumventricular, epithelial, extracellular, fenestrated capillary, fenestrated vessel, intracellular, intramuscular, lipid, lymphatic, nasal, nasal cavity, nasal mucosa, ocular, olfactory epithelium, olfactory nerve, oral, membrane protein, organelle, paracellular, perineural space, plasma membrane, skin, subarachnoid, subcutaneous, tight junction, trigeminal nerve, vomeronasal, or a vesicle barrier.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition is formulated for any suitable route and means of administration.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition is formulated as an adhesive, aerosols, a biologic, a capsule, a chemical compound, eye drops, gels, an injectable, liquids, oils, ointments, a prosthetic, salves, soft galantine capsules, a stent, a controlled release, subcutaneous, surgical, syrups, a tablet, a topical, a vapor, or a water soluble composition.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , further comprising a therapeutic agent.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 19 , wherein the therapeutic agent is a psychotropic drug.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 19 , wherein the therapeutic agent is a neuropsychiatric drug.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition is further capable of comprising a clathrin triskelion.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition is further capable of comprising a clathrin cage.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition is further capable of comprising a clathrin coated vesicle.
. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the pharmaceutical composition is further capable of comprising a ligand and/or adjunct.
. A method of treating a disease, condition, or disorder comprising: administering to a subject in need thereof a protein or composition according to claim 1 , wherein the disease, condition, or disorder is psychiatric or neuropsychiatric, or a combination thereof.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
