Runner Arrangement of Injection Mold Foldable Table
Abstract
A foldable table includes two runners and an injection mold table frame including a tabletop and a runner arrangement integrated with the tabletop. The tabletop includes a surrounding rim downwardly extended from a peripheral of the tabletop, wherein the runners are extended along two longitudinal sides of the tabletop to align with the surrounding rim. The runner arrangement includes a plurality of injection attachments integrally and spacedly extended from an inner side of the surrounding rim. A plurality of fasteners fasten at the injection attachments respectively through each of the runners to securely lock up the runners at the longitudinal sides of the tabletop respectively.

1 . An injection mold tabletop, comprising:
a supporting frame which comprises two runners each having a plurality of spaced apart through holes; a table frame, which comprises: a tabletop comprising two rim structures downwardly extended two longitudinal sides of said tabletop and defining two elongated runner cavities underneath said longitudinal sides of said tabletop respectively; a runner arrangement comprising a plurality of fastener molds integrated with said rim structure within said runner cavities, wherein each of said fastener molds has a fastening hole and defines a deformable surface within said fastening hole, wherein said through holes of said runners are aligned with said fastening holes of said fastener molds when said runners are disposed along said runner cavities respectively; and a plurality of fasteners fastening with said through holes of said fastener molds through said fastening holes of said fastener molds respectively, wherein said deformable surfaces of said fastener molds are deformed by said fasteners to securely lock up said runners at said longitudinal sides of said tabletop respectively.

The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 1 , wherein each of said fasteners has a fastener head with a diameter slightly larger than a diameter of said through hole of said runner, wherein said fastener body of said fastener passes through said through hole of said runner to engage with said fastening hole to ensure said fastener body is engaged with an entire length of said fastener mold so as to increase an attachment area between said fastener and said fastener mold.

The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 1 , wherein said rim structure comprises a surrounding rim downwardly extended from said peripheral of said tabletop and a bottom rim integrally and inwardly extended from a bottom edge of said surrounding rim to define said runner cavity along said surrounding rim and above said bottom rim, such that when said runner is disposed along said runner cavity, said runner is located between said peripheral of said tabletop and said bottom rim.

The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 2 , wherein said rim structure comprises a surrounding rim downwardly extended from said peripheral of said tabletop and a bottom rim integrally and inwardly extended from a bottom edge of said surrounding rim to define said runner cavity along said surrounding rim and above said bottom rim, such that when said runner is disposed along said runner cavity, said runner is located between said peripheral of said tabletop and said bottom rim.
5 . The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 1 , wherein said fastener molds are made of the same material of said tabletop.
6 . The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 2 , wherein said fastener molds are made of the same material of said tabletop.
7 . The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 4 , wherein said fastener molds are made of the same material of said tabletop.
8 . The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 4 , wherein said runner arrangement further comprising a plurality of upper reinforcing ribs for reinforcing the strength of said tabletop, wherein each of said upper reinforcing ribs has a top edge integrally extended to said bottom side of said tabletop, a bottom edge integrally extended to said fastener mold, and a side edge integrally extended to said inner side of said surrounding rim.

The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 7 , wherein said runner arrangement further comprising a plurality of upper reinforcing ribs for reinforcing the strength of said tabletop, wherein each of said upper reinforcing ribs has a top edge integrally extended to said bottom side of said tabletop, a bottom edge integrally extended to said fastener mold, and a side edge integrally extended to said inner side of said surrounding rim.

The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 8 , wherein said runner arrangement further comprising a plurality of lower reinforcing ribs for reinforcing the strength of said tabletop, wherein each of said lower reinforcing ribs has a top edge integrally extended to said fastener mold, a bottom edge integrally extended to said bottom rim, and a side edge integrally extended to said inner side of said surrounding rim.
11 . The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 9 , wherein said runner arrangement further comprising a plurality of lower reinforcing ribs for reinforcing the strength of said tabletop, wherein each of said lower reinforcing ribs has a top edge integrally extended to said fastener mold, a bottom edge integrally extended to said bottom rim, and a side edge integrally extended to said inner side of said surrounding rim.
12 . The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 10 , wherein said tabletop further comprises a table reinforcing rib transversely and integrally extended from said bottom side of said tabletop and is integrally extended between two of said upper reinforcing ribs at said longitudinal sides of said tabletop respectively.

The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 11 , wherein said tabletop further comprises a table reinforcing rib transversely and integrally extended from said bottom side of said tabletop and is integrally extended between two of said upper reinforcing ribs at said longitudinal sides of said tabletop respectively.
14 . The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 12 , wherein said tabletop further comprises a plurality of corner reinforcing ribs integrally formed at corner portions of said tabletop respectively, wherein each of said corner reinforcing ribs is integrally extended to said bottom side of said tabletop and to said inner side of said surrounding wall to reinforce the strength of said tabletop at said corner portions thereof.
15 . The injection mold tabletop, as recited in claim 13 , wherein said tabletop further comprises a plurality of corner reinforcing ribs integrally formed at corner portions of said tabletop respectively, wherein each of said corner reinforcing ribs is integrally extended to said bottom side of said tabletop and to said inner side of said surrounding wall to reinforce the strength of said tabletop at said corner portions thereof.
16 . A method of manufacturing an injection mold tabletop, comprising the steps of:
(a) forming a tabletop by a mold injection process; (b) integrally forming two rim structures integrally and downwardly extended two longitudinal sides of said tabletop during said mold injection process, wherein two elongated runner cavities are formed underneath said longitudinal sides of said tabletop respectively; (c) integrally forming a plurality of fastener molds with said rim structure within said runner cavities during said mold injection process, wherein each of said fastener molds has a fastening hole and defines a deformable surface within said fastening hole; (d) disposing two runners along said runner cavities respectively, wherein each of said runners has a plurality of spaced apart through holes aligned with said fastening holes of said fastener molds when said runners are disposed along said runner cavities respectively; and (e) fastening said runners at said runner cavities respectively by a plurality of fasteners, by the steps of: (e.1) passing a fastener head of each of said fasteners through said through hole of said runner to engage with said fastening hole to ensure said fastener body is engaged with an entire length of said fastener mold; and (e.2) deforming said deformable surfaces of said fastener molds by said fastener heads of said fasteners when said fastener heads of said fasteners are engaged with said fastening holes of said fastener molds to securely lock up said runners at said longitudinal sides of said tabletop respectively.
17 . The method, as recited in claim 16 , wherein the step (b) further comprises the steps of:
(b.1) during said mold injection process, integrally forming a surrounding rim to be downwardly extended from said peripheral of said tabletop; and (b.2) during said mold injection process, integrally forming a bottom rim to be integrally and inwardly extended from a bottom edge of said surrounding rim to define said runner cavity along said surrounding rim and above said bottom rim.
18 . The method, as recited in claim 17 , wherein the step (c) further comprises the steps of:
(c.1) during said mold injection process, integrally forming a plurality of upper reinforcing ribs for reinforcing the strength of said tabletop, wherein each of said upper reinforcing ribs has a top edge integrally extended to said bottom side of said tabletop, a bottom edge integrally extended to said fastener mold, and a side edge integrally extended to said inner side of said surrounding rim; and (c.2) during said mold injection process, integrally forming a plurality of lower reinforcing ribs for reinforcing the strength of said tabletop, wherein each of said lower reinforcing ribs has a top edge integrally extended to said fastener mold, a bottom edge integrally extended to said bottom rim, and a side edge integrally extended to said inner side of said surrounding rim.
19 . The method, as recited in claim 18 , wherein the step (c) further comprises the steps of:
(c.3) during said mold injection process, integrally forming a table reinforcing rib to be transversely and integrally extended from said bottom side of said tabletop and integrally extended between two of said upper reinforcing ribs at said longitudinal sides of said tabletop respectively; and (c.4) during said mold injection process, integrally forming a plurality of corner reinforcing ribs to be integrally formed at corner portions of said tabletop respectively, wherein each of said corner reinforcing ribs is integrally extended to said bottom side of said tabletop and to said inner side of said surrounding wall to reinforce the strength of said tabletop at said corner portions thereof.
