Abstract
A pool cover assembly for preventing a cover from contacting a fluid in a pool while the cover is placed over the pool includes the cover that may be positioned over the pool. The cover completely covers the fluid in the pool. The cover is structured to have a pillow section. The pillow section is inflatable to float on the fluid thereby spacing the cover upwardly from the fluid.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A pool cover assembly comprising:
a cover configured to be positioned over a pool such said cover completely covers a fluid in the pool; said cover being structured to have a pillow section, said pillow section being inflatable such that said pillow section extends downwardly from said cover such that an outer surface of said pillow section is campanulate wherein said pillow section is configured to promote contact with the fluid in the pool over a minimal area in spaced relationship to an outer wall of the pool and float on the fluid thereby spacing said cover upwardly from the fluid; said cover having an outer edge extending between each of a top side and a bottom side of said cover; a panel having an exterior edge extending between each of an upper side and a lower side of said panel; and said panel having a plurality of stitches extending through said upper side and said lower side wherein said stitches engage said bottom side of said cover, said stitches being positioned adjacent to and being coextensive with said exterior edge such that a middle of said panel hangs downwardly from said cover to define a pillow space, said panel being centrally positioned on said bottom side.
2 . (canceled)
3 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising a valve, said valve being coupled to said cover such that said valve extends through said top side and said bottom side, said valve being aligned with said pillow space such that said valve is in fluid communication with said pillow space wherein said valve inflates and deflates said pillow space.
4 . The assembly according to claim 3 , further comprising said outer edge of said cover being rolled inwardly and coupled to said bottom side of said cover to define a retainer space.
5 . The assembly according to claim 4 , further comprising an elastic band being positioned within said retainer space wherein said elastic band is configured to engage the outer wall of the pool thereby retaining the cover on the pool such that said panel floats on the fluid when said pillow space is inflated.
6 . A pool cover assembly comprising:
a cover, said cover having an outer edge extending between each of a top side and a bottom side of said cover wherein said cover is configured to be positioned over a pool such said cover completely covers a fluid in the pool; a panel having an exterior edge extending between each of an upper side and a lower side of said panel, said panel having a plurality of stitches extending through said upper side and said lower side wherein said stitches engage said bottom side of said cover, said stitches being positioned adjacent to and being coextensive with said exterior edge such that a middle of said panel hangs downwardly from said cover to define a pillow space extending downwardly from said cover such that lower side of said panel is campanulate when said pillow space is inflated wherein said pillow space is configured to promote contact with the fluid in the pool over a minimal area in spaced relationship to an outer wall of the pool, said panel being centrally positioned on said bottom side; a valve, said valve being coupled to said cover such that said valve extends through said top side and said bottom side, said valve being aligned with said pillow space such that said valve is in fluid communication with said pillow space wherein said valve inflates and deflates said pillow space such that said panel is configured to float on the fluid thereby spacing said cover upwardly from the fluid; said outer edge of said cover being rolled inwardly and coupled to said bottom side of said cover to define a retainer space; and an elastic band being positioned within said retainer space wherein said elastic band is configured to engage the outer wall of the pool thereby retaining the cover on the pool such that said panel floats on the fluid when said pillow space is inflated.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
