Abstract
A method for selecting one or more items by an electronic device is provided. The method includes receiving a first input for selecting two more points on a screen, in response to the first input, executing a multi-selection mode for selecting one or more items, receiving a second input which is inputted in succession to the first input, and in response to the second input, selecting the one or more items.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method for selecting one or more items by an electronic device, comprising:
receiving a first input for selecting two more points on a screen; in response to the first input, executing a multi-selection mode for selecting one or more items; receiving a second input which is inputted in succession to the first input; and in response to the second input, selecting the one or more items.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first input is a touch input or a hovering input.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second input is a scroll input for dragging at least one of the two more points downwards or upwards on the screen.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein selecting the one or more items comprises:
scrolling a list, having the one or more items displayed therein, according to the second input; and determining, as the selected one or more items, all the items in a row of the list over which the second input passes.
5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising:
receiving a third input; and in response to the third input, deselecting at least some of the selected one or more items.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the third input is a reverse scroll input for scrolling at least one of the two more points in an opposite direction to the second input.
7 . The method of claim 5 , wherein deselecting the at least some of the selected one or more items comprises:
deselecting all the items in a row of the list over which the third input passes.
8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving a fourth input; and in response to the fourth input, processing the selected one or more items.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein selecting the one or more item comprises:
displaying checked select boxes corresponding to each of the selected one or more items.
10 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:
if a distance between one point and another point from among the two more points is increased, deforming items adjacent to the one point and the another point.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein deforming the items adjacent to the one point and other point comprises
displaying one or more rows comprising the items adjacent to the one point and the another point to be displayed in the form of being bent inward.
12 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:
if a distance between one point and another point from among the two more points is decreased, deforming items adjacent to the one point and the another point.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein deforming the items adjacent to the one point and other point comprises
displaying one or more rows comprising the items adjacent to the one point and the another point to be displayed in the form of being bent outward.
14 . An electronic device for selecting one or more items, comprising:
a display configured to receive a first input on a screen; and a processor configured to: in response to the first input, execute a multi-selection mode for selecting one or more items, and if a second input which is inputted in succession to the first input is received through the display, select the one or more items in response to the second input.
15 . The electronic device of claim 14 , wherein the first input is a touch input or a hovering input.
16 . The electronic device of claim 14 , wherein the second input is a scroll input for dragging at least one of the two or more points downwards or upwards on the screen.
17 . The electronic device of claim 14 , wherein the processor controls the display such that a list having the one or more items displayed therein is scrolled according to the second input, and determines, as the selected one or more items, all the items in a row of the list over which the second input passes.
18 . The electronic device of claim 17 , wherein the processor deselects at least some of the selected one or more items according to a third input for deselecting the selected items, when the display receives the third input.
19 . The electronic device of claim 18 , wherein the third input is a reverse scroll input for scrolling at least one of the two or more points in an opposite direction to the second input.
20 . The electronic device of claim 19 , wherein the processor deselects all the items in a row of the list over which the third input passes.
21 . The electronic device of claim 16 , wherein the processor processes the selected one or more items according to a fourth input for processing the selected items, when receiving the fourth input through the display.
22 . The electronic device of claim 14 , wherein the processor further configured to control the display to display checked select boxes corresponding to each of the selected one or more items.
23 . The electronic device of claim 16 , wherein,
if a distance between one point and another point from among the two more points is increased, the processor deforms items adjacent to the one point and the another point.
24 . The electronic device of claim 23 , wherein the processor controls the display to display one or more rows comprising the items adjacent to the one point and the another point to be displayed in the form of being bent inward.
25 . The electronic device of claim 16 , wherein,
if a distance between one point and another point from among the two more points is decreased, the processor deforms items adjacent to the one point and the another point.
26 . The electronic device of claim 25 , wherein the processor controls the display to display one or more rows comprising the items adjacent to the one point and the another point to be displayed in the form of being bent outward.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
