Abstract

The present invention is a collapsible umbrella housed in a handle. The handle has a separately selected surface that has a non-depressed and a depressed positions. The handle with the surface in non-depressed position has inside volume large enough to accommodate the folded umbrella. The handle with the surface in depressed position has reduced cross section which makes it comfortable to hold the umbrella. The separately selected surface is connected to the handle via a hinge in some embodiments.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . An umbrella apparatus, comprising:
 a. a telescopic rod connected at one end to a system of ribs with a bearing canopy; b. the telescopic rod is connected at another end to a case which also acts as a handle of the umbrella: c. the case having a separately selected surface acting as a hand grip; d. wherein the separately selected surface is movable and depressible thereby decreasing a sectional shape of the handle; e. and wherein the umbrella is collapsible having an open and closed position.

2 . The umbrella apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the selected surface is made of elastic material.

3 . The umbrella apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the selected surface is made of rubber.

4 . The umbrella apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the case is made of solid material.

5 . The umbrella apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the case is made of plastic.

6 . The umbrella apparatus of claim 1 , wherein a largest linear size of the sectional shape of the handle is from 2 to 5 cm.

7 . The umbrella apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the surface length is about a size of a fist.

8 . The umbrella apparatus of chum 1 , further comprising a hinge connecting the case to the separately selected portion which is movable and depressible.

9 . The umbrella apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the case is box-shaped.

10 . The umbrella apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the case is elliptical in shape.

11 . The umbrella apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the case has one or more open sides.

12 . A method of connecting a handle with au umbrella, comprising:
 a. coupling a telescopic rod, with a system of rods and a bearing canopy at one end, and with a handle; b. wherein the handle has a separately selected surface is movable and depressible thereby decreasing a sectional shape of the handle; c. wherein the umbrella is collapsible having an open and closed position.

13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the umbrella in the closed position is placed inside the handle, and the surface is not depressed for the umbrella in this position.

14 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the handle and the separately selected surface are connected by a hinge.

15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein both the handle and the surface are made of slid material.

16 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the surface is made of elastic material.

17 . A method of using an umbrella, comprising:
retrieving a folded umbrella from a case, an umbrella rod being connected to the case on one end and having a system of ribs with a bearing canopy on another end; squeezing by a hand the case to reduce its cross section area; and using the case as an umbrella handle.

18 . The method of claim 17 , the area is reduced by about 20%.

19 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the area is reduced by about 30%.

20 . The method of claim 17 , Wherein the area is reduced by about 50%.
