Abstract
An electronic device and method for operating an electronic device are presented. An input for performing a predefined function is received. A lock function is deactivated to unlock the predefined function and the predefined function is displayed on a display module, if the input is received and if a correct password is entered.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An electronic device, comprising:
a display module; an input module operable to:
receive an input for performing a predefined function associated with the input; and
receive a password; and
a controller operable to:
deactivate a lock function to unlock the predefined function, if the input is received and if the password is correct; and
display the predefined function on the display module, if the input is received and if the password is correct.
2 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , further comprising a memory operable to store the input.
3 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the controller is further operable to control the display module and to perform the predefined function.
4 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein:
the input module comprises a plurality of key input modules; and the predefined function is associated with a predefined character displayed on a key from among the key input modules.
5 . The electronic device according to claim 4 , wherein when the predefined function is locked, the controller is further operable to:
perform the predefined function according to a stored input, and display the predefined function on the display module, if the predefined character is entered as a first character of the password and then deleted, and if the correct password is entered.
6 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein:
the input module is located on the display module; the input module comprises a touch receiving module operable to receive a touch operation; and the predefined function is associated with a predefined icon displayed on the display module.
7 . The electronic device according to claim 6 , wherein when the predefined function is locked, the controller is further operable to:
perform the predefined function according to the input, if a period-of-time when the touch receiving module on the display receives a touch on the predefined icon is within a predefined period-of-time, and if the correct password is entered; and move the predefined icon if the period-of-time exceeds the predefined period-of-time, and if the correct password is entered.
8 . A method for operating an electronic device, comprising:
receiving an input for performing a predefined function associated with the input; receiving a password; deactivating a lock function to unlock the predefined function, if the input is received and if the password is correct; and displaying the predefined function on a display module, if the input is received and if the password is correct.
9 . The method according to claim 8 , further comprising storing the input.
10 . The method according to claim 8 , further comprising performing the predefined function.
11 . The method according to claim 8 , wherein the predefined function is associated with a predefined character displayed on a key.
12 . The method according to claim 11 , further comprising when the predefined function is locked:
performing the predefined function according to a stored input, and displaying the predefined function on the display module, if the predefined character is entered as a first character of the password and then deleted, and if the correct password is entered.
13 . The method according to claim 8 , wherein the predefined function is associated with a predefined icon displayed on the display module.
14 . The method according to claim 13 , further comprising when the predefined function is locked:
performing the predefined function according to the input, if a period-of-time when a touch receiving module on the display module receives a touch on the predefined icon is within a predefined period-of-time, and if the correct password is entered; and moving the icon if the period-of-time exceeds the predefined period-of-time, and if the correct password is entered.
15 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising computer-executable instructions for operating a mobile electronic device, the computer-executable instructions comprising:
receiving an input for performing a predefined function associated with the input; receiving a password; deactivating a lock function to unlock the predefined function, if the input is received and if the password is correct; and displaying the predefined function on a display module, if the input is received and if the password is correct.
16 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 further comprising computer-executable instructions comprising storing the input.
17 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 further comprising computer-executable instructions comprising performing the predefined function.
18 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 further comprising computer-executable instructions comprising when the predefined function is locked:
performing the predefined function according to a stored input, and
displaying the predefined function on the display module, if a predefined character is entered as a first character of the password and then deleted, and if the correct password is entered.
19 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 wherein the predefined function is associated with a predefined icon displayed on the display module.
20 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 19 further comprising computer-executable instructions comprising when the predefined function is locked:
performing the predefined function according to the input, if a period-of-time when a touch receiving module on the display module receives a touch on the predefined icon is within a predefined period-of-time, and if the correct password is entered; and
moving the icon if the period-of-time exceeds the predefined period-of-time, and if the correct password is entered.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
