Provided are methods, systems, and apparatus for error detection of bits of a data packet received at a receiver unit by detecting corrupted data bits.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method, comprising:
 receiving a data packet including time sensitive data and rolling data;   comparing the received rolling data to a previously stored corresponding rolling data;   incrementing a counter when the received rolling data is within a predetermined percentage of the previously stored rolling data;   determining if the counter is greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold; and   accepting the received rolling data as valid.
