Covered Laundry Basket Device

Abstract

A covered laundry basket device covers a top opening of a laundry basket while transporting laundry. The device includes a cover having an inner surface, an outer surface, and a perimeter edge extending around and between the inner surface and the outer surface, the perimeter edge defining an opening into an interior space of the cover defined by the inner surface. A hem extends around the opening defining a channel extending around the opening. A line extends through the channel for gathering the opening coupling the cover to a laundry basket by positioning the cover over a top opening of the laundry basket while the perimeter edge engages and retains the cover on the laundry basket.

         6 . A covered laundry basket device comprising:
 a laundry basket having a bottom wall, a peripheral sidewall, and a top edge defining a top opening into said laundry basket, said side wall having a plurality of apertures extending therethrough;   a cover having an inner surface, an outer surface, and a perimeter edge extending around and between said inner surface and said outer surface, said perimeter edge defining an opening into an interior space of said cover defined by said inner surface, said cover being opaque wherein said cover is configured for concealing laundry positioned in said laundry basket, said cover being constructed of a machine washable material wherein said cover is configured for washing with laundry from said laundry basket wherein the laundry and cover are both clean when said cover is placed over the laundry after washing, said machine washable material being terrycloth;   a hem extending around said opening, said hem defining a channel extending around said opening; and   a line coupled to said cover and extending through said channel wherein said line is configured for gathering said opening such that said cover is configured for coupling to said laundry basket by positioning said cover to extend over said top opening of said laundry basket while said opening engages and retains said cover on said laundry basket, said line being a resilient stretchable loop.
