Video display device and control method thereof

Abstract

Provided are a video display device and a method of controlling the same. The method includes obtaining an uncompressed audio-visual (AV) content; playing the uncompressed AV content through the display unit; obtaining content information of the uncompressed AV content on the basis of a content section of the uncompressed AV content; obtaining content change time information and enhanced service information on the basis of the content information; and determining a delay time for obtaining the next content information on the basis of the content change time information.

         9 . A method of controlling a video display device, the method comprising:
 obtaining an uncompressed audio-visual (AV) content;   extracting first information for identifying the uncompressed AV content being viewed, from a content section of the uncompressed AV content, wherein the first information is one of a watermark and a fingerprint;   transmitting a first query including the first information to a first server;   obtaining an address of a second server on the basis of a first response for the first query from the first server;   transmitting a second query to the second server by using the address of the second server;   obtaining a second information on the basis of a second response for the second query from the second server,   wherein the second information includes a start time of an application; and   executing the application in the start time of the application.
