Vibration Dampener
Abstract
A vibration reducing interface which uses interconnected layers of three or more concentrically arranged isolators to reduce vibrations in tools, vehicles, machines, weapons and anything else which uses pumps, compressors, engines, motors, spinning elements, out of balance loads or inconsistent, variable loading. The vibration reducing interface provides for tiering arranged isolators for reducing varying degrees and directions of vibration. The vibration reducing interface reduces vibration and its related negative affects including injury, damage and reduced control in relation to use of tools, vehicles, machines, weapons and other equipment.

21 . A vibration dampener for dampening vibration of a mechanical apparatus, comprising:
a first tier and a second tier wherein the first and second tiers are defined by parallel planes wherein the first tier includes at least three first tier connectors interconnecting with at least three second tier connectors wherein the connectors are interdisposed with a vibration dampening element and wherein the connectors are directed towards an axis perpendicular to the parallel planes and substantially concentrically spaced around the axis perpendicular to the parallel planes, and a handle attached to said dampener.
22 . The vibration dampener for dampening vibration of a mechanical apparatus of claim 21 wherein each connector further comprises a cylindrical member for interconnecting the first tier connectors and the second tier connectors.

The vibration dampener for dampening vibration of a mechanical apparatus of claim 27 wherein the vibration dampening element types include at least one of a rubber material, a magneto-rheological damper, a viscous liquid, an inertial damper, an electronically controlled inertial damper, and a biasing member.

a motor attached to a structural member; a handle; a reciprocating apparatus disposed between the structural member and a vibrating element wherein the vibrating element is adapted to interface with a surface for compacting the surface wherein the reciprocating apparatus is operatively attached to the motor for actuating the reciprocating apparatus and causing vibration of the vibrating element; wherein a vibration dampener is disposed between the structural member and said handle; and wherein the vibration dampener comprises a first tier and a second tier wherein the first and second tiers are defined by parallel planes wherein the first tier includes at least three first tier connectors interconnecting with at least three second tier connectors wherein the connectors are interdisposed with a vibration dampening element and wherein the connectors are directed towards an axis perpendicular to the parallel planes and substantially concentrically spaced around the axis perpendicular to the parallel planes.
47 . The compacting machine with a vibration dampening system of claim 46 further comprising a skid attached to the handle for interfacing with the surface.

49 . A floor cleaning machine with a vibration dampening system, comprising:
a motor attached to a structural member; a handle; a reciprocating apparatus disposed between the structural member and a vibrating element wherein the vibrating element is adapted to interface with a floor surface for cleaning the floor surface wherein the reciprocating apparatus is operatively attached to the motor for actuating the reciprocating apparatus and causing vibration of the vibrating element; wherein a vibration dampener is disposed between the structural member and said handle; and wherein the vibration dampener comprises a first tier and a second tier wherein the first and second tiers are defined by parallel planes wherein the first tier includes at least three first tier connectors interconnecting with at least three second tier connectors wherein the connectors are interdisposed with a vibration dampening element and wherein the connectors are directed towards an axis perpendicular to the parallel planes and substantially concentrically spaced around the axis perpendicular to the parallel planes.
50 . The floor cleaning machine with a vibration dampening system of claim 49 further comprising one or more wheels attached to the handle for interfacing with the floor.
