Abstract

A wireless communication device includes a transmission portion, an information acquisition portion, a storage portion, a selection portion, and a transmission control portion. The transmission portion transmits information. The information acquisition portion acquires location information for the wireless communication device that includes a received signal strength of a signal that is transmitted from a base station in the vicinity. The storage portion stores, in association with specific location information, regulating information that regulates the transmission from the transmission portion of the information that corresponds to the location of the wireless communication device. The selection portion selects from the storage portion the regulating information associated with the location information acquired by the information acquisition portion. The transmission control portion controls, based on the regulating information that was selected by the selection portion, the transmission from the transmission portion of the information that corresponds to the location of the wireless communication device.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A server comprising:
 circuitry configured to
 receive location information and regulating information of a first terminal, 
 retrieve the received regulating information including an effective time period, and 
 send, to a second terminal, a location alias of the location information of the first terminal, or the location information of the first terminal, based on the regulating information. 
   
     
     
         2 . The server according to  claim 1 , wherein the regulating information further includes a publication range information of the first terminal. 
     
     
         3 . The server according to  claim 2 , wherein the publication range information of the first terminal corresponds to a distance from the first terminal within which transmission of location information is allowed. 
     
     
         4 . The server according to  claim 2 , wherein the publication range information of the first terminal corresponds to a distance from a geographic location of the first terminal within which transmission of location information is allowed. 
     
     
         5 . The server according to  claim 4 , wherein the geographic location comprises a latitude and a longitude. 
     
     
         6 . The server according to  claim 2 , wherein one of the location alias of the location information of the first terminal or the location information of the first terminal is sent to the second terminal, based on whether the second terminal is located within a threshold distance of the first terminal indicated by the publication range information of the first terminal. 
     
     
         7 . The server according to  claim 6 , wherein the threshold distance of the first terminal is set based on a user input. 
     
     
         8 . The server according to claim I, wherein the location information comprises information obtained from a GPS system. 
     
     
         9 . The server according to  claim 1 , wherein the location information comprises information obtained about a WiFi access point. 
     
     
         10 . An information processing method comprising:
 receiving location information and regulating information of a first terminal,   retrieving the received regulating information including an effective time period, and   sending, to a second terminal, a location alias of the location information of the first terminal, or the location information of the first terminal, based on the regulating information.   
     
     
         11 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having embodied thereon a program, which when executed by a computer causes the computer to execute an information processing method, the method comprising:
 receiving location information and regulating information of a first terminal,   retrieving the received regulating information including an effective time period, and   sending, to a second terminal, a location alias of the location information of the first terminal, or the location information of the first terminal, based on the regulating information.
