Abstract
A grinding machine includes a base with a U-shaped frame on the base. The U-shaped frame has two extensions and each have a first hole and a second hole which is an oval hole. A grinding roller is connected to the frame. An adjustment device includes a first shaft and a second shaft. The first shaft extends through a portion of the base and the two respective first holes of the extensions. The second shaft extends through the second holes of the two extensions. An eccentric sleeve and an adjustment member are located in the second hole of one of the extensions, and each have an eccentric hole. The adjustment member is mounted to the eccentric sleeve. The second shaft extends through the two eccentric holes. When rotating the adjustment member and the eccentric sleeve, the frame and the grinding roller are pivoted about the first shaft.

1 . An adjustment device for a grinding machine, comprising:
a base; a U-shaped frame located on a top of the base having a first extension and a second extension, each of the first and second extensions having a first hole and a second hole, each of the second holes being a non-circular hole, two tubular members on the base, the first and second extensions mounted to two respective outsides of the two tubular members; a feeding platform located on the base; a grinding roller transversely connected to the frame, and an adjustment device connected to the frame and having a first shaft and a second shaft, the first shaft having a fixing end and an operation end, the fixing end of the first shaft extending through the tubular member and the first hole of the second extension, the operation end of the first shaft extending through the other tubular member and the first hole of the first extension, the second shaft having an elongate body which has a restriction end and a connection end, the connection end extending through the second hole of the second extension, the two tubular members and the second hole of the first extension, the restriction end being sized larger than the second hole of the second extension, the connection end extending beyond the second hole of the first extension, an eccentric sleeve located in the second hole of the first extension and having a first eccentric hole defined axially therethrough, an adjustment member having a second eccentric hole defined axially therethrough, the eccentric sleeve securely extending through the second eccentric hole, the adjustment member engaged with the second hole of the first extension.
2 . The adjustment device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the eccentric sleeve has two flat faces defined in an outside thereof.
3 . The adjustment device as claimed in claim 1 wherein a first urging member connected to the operation end extending beyond the first hole of the first extension, the connection end of the second shaft has outer threads which are threadedly connected to a second urging member.
4 . The adjustment device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the eccentric sleeve has a radial hole which communicates with the first eccentric hole, a bolt threadedly extends through the radial hole and contacts against the elongate body.
5 . The adjustment device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the adjustment member has a lever extending therefrom.
6 . The adjustment device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the adjustment device has a fixing board which is located between the fixing end of the first shaft and the restriction end of the second shaft.
