Claims

Abstract

A metal detector simulation game device simulates use of a metal detector for finding rewards within a game structure. The device includes a game board having a top surface and a plurality of apertures extending into the top surface. A game piece resembling a metal detector comprises a handle and a magnet. Each of a plurality of pegs is insertable into a selectable one of the apertures wherein viewing of a bottom portion of a shaft section of the respective peg is obscured by the game board. A head section of each peg is magnetically attracted to the magnet wherein each peg is removable from the game board to expose the bottom portion of the shaft section. Respective scoring indicia is positioned on the bottom portion of the shaft section of each peg indicative of a reward level.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A metal detector simulation game device comprising:
 a game board having a top surface, said game board being structured to comprise a plurality of apertures extending into said top surface;   a game piece comprising a handle and a magnet coupled to a lower end of said handle such that said game piece is configured to resemble a metal detector;   a plurality of pegs, each of said pegs having a head section and a shaft section insertable into a selectable one of said apertures wherein viewing of a bottom portion of said shaft section is obscured by said game board, said head section of each said peg being magnetically attracted to said magnet wherein each said peg is removable from said game board to expose said bottom portion of said shaft section while said magnet engages said head section; and   respective scoring indicia positioned on said bottom portion of said shaft section of each said peg, said scoring indicia being indicative of a reward level.   
     
     
         2 . The device of  claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of legs coupled to said game board, said legs extending downwardly relative to a bottom surface of said game board wherein said game board is supported in an elevated position by said legs. 
     
     
         3 . The device of  claim 2 , further comprising each said aperture extending fully through said game board. 
     
     
         4 . The device of  claim 3 , further comprising said bottom portion of each said peg being positioned below said bottom surface of said game board when said peg is fully inserted through said game board. 
     
     
         5 . The device of  claim 1 , further comprising said head section of each said peg resting against said top surface of said game board when said peg is fully inserted into said game board. 
     
     
         6 . The device of  claim 1 , further comprising said head section of each said peg having a conoid upper surface. 
     
     
         7 . The device of  claim 1 , further comprising said scoring indicia comprising a plurality of colors, each said color being positioned on an associated said bottom portion of said shaft section of each said peg. 
     
     
         8 . The device of  claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of scenery pieces, each of said scenery pieces being coupled to said top surface of said game board wherein said game board is configured to resemble a landscape. 
     
     
         9 . A metal detector simulation game device comprising:
 a game board having a top surface, said game board being structured to comprise a plurality of apertures extending into said top surface, each said aperture extending fully through said game board;   a plurality of legs coupled to said game board, said legs extending downwardly relative to a bottom surface of said game board wherein said game board is supported in an elevated position by said legs;   a game piece comprising a handle and a magnet coupled to a lower end of said handle such that said game piece is configured to resemble a metal detector;   a plurality of pegs, each of said pegs having a head section and a shaft section insertable into a selectable one of said apertures wherein viewing of a bottom portion of said shaft section is obscured by said game board, said head section of each said peg being magnetically attracted to said magnet wherein each said peg is removable from said game board to expose said bottom portion of said shaft section while said magnet engages said head section, said bottom portion of each said peg being positioned below said bottom surface of said game board when said peg is fully inserted through said game board, said head section of each said peg having a conoid upper surface, said head section of each said peg resting against said top surface of said game board when said peg is fully inserted into said game board;   respective scoring indicia positioned on said bottom portion of said shaft section of each said peg, said scoring indicia being indicative of a reward level, said scoring indicia comprising a plurality of colors, each said color being positioned on an associated said bottom portion of said shaft section of each said peg; and   a plurality of scenery pieces, each of said scenery pieces being coupled to said top surface of said game board wherein said game board is configured to resemble a landscape.
