Abstract

An integrated pressure washer is disclosed. The integrated pressure washer has an engine. At the bottom of the engine is an engine bottom cover. The engine bottom cover has a recess formed by a cylindrical wall that extends up from a base of the engine bottom cover. The pressure washer also has a pump assembly. The pump assembly is attached to the engine bottom cover and extends into the recess. The pump assembly receives water and applies pressure to the water and directs the pressurized water out a high pressure hose.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . An integrated pressure washer comprising:
 a) an engine comprising a base and an engine cover, the engine cover having a crankshaft recess, the crankshaft recess consisting of a single compartment, the single compartment being positioned entirely below the base, the engine further comprising a crankshaft, the crankshaft extending into and terminating in the crankshaft recess; and b) a pump assemble comprising a pumpking mechanism driven by a wobble plate, the pump assembly integrated directly into the engine cover and extending into the crankshaft recess, the wobble plate configured to directly couple to the crankshaft, causing the pumpking mechanism to rotate, which, in turn, applies pressure to water entering the pump assembly and directing pressurized water out oa high pressure outlet of the pump assembly wherein there is a single lubricating liquid for both the engine and pump assembly, which is entirely contained within the single compartment and there is a single crankshaft/pump shaft seal.

2 . The pressure washer of claim 1 wherein the engine is a vertical shaft engine.

3 . The pressure washer of claim 1 wherein the engine is a horizontal shaft engine.

4 . The pressure washer of claim 1 wherein the engine cover is composed of aluminum.

5 . The pressure washer of claim 1 wherein the pumping mechanism is an in-line piston pump.

6 . The pressure washer of claim 1 wherein the recess is cylindrical.

7 . An engine and pump assembly for use in an engine powered pressure washer comprising:
 a) a base; b) a continuous wall attached to the base, the continuous wall extending away from the base, the continuous wall creating a crankshaft recess consisting of a single compartment, the single compartment being entirely beneath the base, the recess having a bottom end, the bottom end extending into the base, the bottom end further comprising a crankshaft opening, the crankshaft opening allowing a crankshaft to protrude there through and terminate in the crankshaft recess; and c) wherein the crankshaft recess is adapted to fit a pump assembly which is inserted into the crankshaft recess and attached directly to the cover and fits entirely within the crankshaft recess, the pump assembly further comprising a rotating device for operating the pump assembly wherein the rotating device is directly coupled to the crankshaft entirely within the crankshaft recess wherein there is a single lubricating liquid for both the engine and pump assembly which is entirely contained within the single compartment and there is a single crankshaft/pump shaft seal.

8 . The single piece engine cover of claim 7 wherein the continuous wall is cylindrical.

9 . The single piece engine cover of claim 7 wherein cooling fins extend along the base.

10 . The single piece engine cover of claim 7 wherein the engine cover is composed of aluminum.

11 . The single piece engine cover of claim 7 wherein the pumping mechanism is an in-line piston pump.

12 . The single piece engine cover of claim 7 wherein the pumping mechanism is a wobble plate pump.

13 . The pressure washer of claim 1 wherein there is a combined crankshaft and a pump shaft seal.

14 . An engine and pump assembly comprising:
 a) an engine comprising a base and an engine cover, the engine cover having a single compartment crankshaft recess, the engine further comprising a crankshaft, the crankshaft extending into and terminating in the crankshaft recess; and b) a pump assembly comprising a pumping mechanism, the pump assembly integrated directly into the engine cover and extending into the crankshaft recess and driven by the crankshaft, wherein there is a single lubricating liquid for both the engine and pump assembly which is entirely contained within the single compartment and there is a single crankshaft/pump shaft seal.
