Abstract
A neural implant for bridging interruptions or defects within a nerve. The neural implant consists of thread-like spider silk formed from fibers of spider silk arranged around a carrier element. The carrier element consists of thread-like spider silk. The carrier element can carrier element be a plurality of pieces of spider silk arranged in parallel. The thread-like spider silk can be natural or modified spider silk, including chemically modified spider silk.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . Neural implant for bridging interruptions or defects within a nerve, said neural implant consisting of thread-like spider silk formed from fibers of spider silk arranged around a carrier element, which carrier element consists of thread-like spider silk.
. Neural implant according to claim 1 , wherein the thread-like spider silk that is arranged around said carrier element is aligned essentially in the longitudinal direction thereof.
. Neural implant according to claim 1 , wherein the thread-like spider silk is natural spider silk.
. Neural implant according to claim 3 , wherein the natural spider silk is obtained from a golden silk orb-weaver spider.
. Neural implant according to claim 1 , wherein said carrier element is a plurality of pieces of spider silk arranged in parallel.
. Neural implant according to claim 1 , wherein the thread-like spider silk is modified spider silk.
. Neural implant according to claim 6 , wherein the thread-like spider silk is chemically modified spider silk
. Neural implant for bridging interruptions or defects within a nerve, said neural implant consisting of thread-like spider silk arranged around a carrier element, wherein said carrier element consists of thread-like spider silk.
. Neural implant according to claim 8 , wherein the thread-like spider silk that is arranged around said carrier element is aligned essentially in the longitudinal direction thereof.
. Neural implant according to claim 8 , wherein the thread-like spider silk is natural spider silk.
. Neural implant according to claim 10 , wherein the natural spider silk is obtained from a golden silk orb-weaver spider.
. Neural implant according to claim 8 , wherein the thread-like spider silk is wrapped in a bundle or in several bundles around said carrier element.
. Neural implant according to claim 8 , wherein said carrier element consists of a plurality of pieces of spider silk arranged in parallel.
. Neural implant according to claim 8 , wherein the thread-like spider silk is modified spider silk.
. Neural implant according to claim 14 , wherein the thread-like spider silk is chemically modified spider silk
. Neural implant for bridging interruptions or defects within a nerve, said neural implant consisting of thread-like spider silk, wherein the thread-like spider silk is wrapped in several bundles around one another.
. Neural implant according to claim 16 , wherein the thread-like spider silk is wrapped in several bundles around one another by braiding the spider silk in bundles.
. Neural implant according to claim 16 , wherein the thread-like spider silk is wrapped in several bundles around one another by wrapping the spider silk fibers around a carrier element in one or more layers in the same direction or in opposite direction, wherein said carrier element consists of thread-like spider silk.
. Neural implant according to claim 18 , wherein the thread-like spider silk is modified spider silk.
. Neural implant according to claim 19 , wherein the thread-like spider silk is chemically modified spider silk
. Neural implant according to claim 18 , wherein the thread-like spider silk that is arranged around said carrier element is aligned essentially in the longitudinal direction thereof.
. Neural implant according to claim 18 , wherein said thread-like spider silk is natural spider silk.
. Neural implant according to claim 22 , wherein the natural spider silk is obtained from a golden silk orb-weaver spider.
. Neural implant according to claim 18 , wherein said carrier element is a plurality of pieces of spider silk arranged in parallel.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
