Abstract

A system of components with shared properties and variable placement and modification capabilities, that, when installed into a new or existing suspended ceiling grid, in combination, will create suspended ceiling arrangements whose set-out Co-planer decorative major surfaces and vertical, shape defining, decorative minor surfaces give the design effect of set-out construction. And, wherein, whose installation creates a lighting channel in the cavity between them for the installation of linear LED lighting systems.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A system of components configured for installation into a suspended ceiling grid framework with shared properties and variable placement and modification capabilities, whose co-planer major surfaces are set-out one and one half to eight inches parallel from the co-planer room facing surface of the suspended ceiling grid framework, creating the novel design effect of set-out construction.
 A system comprising a plurality of components configured for installation into the ‘cell’ of a suspended ceiling grid, at least some of the plurality of components comprising:
 a component having a decorative major surface disposed opposite an interior surface and perpendicular projecting decorative minor surfaces defining its perimeter shape;
 a structural side element extending from the interior surface, thereby defining a cavity on the interior surface, the cavity bordered by the structural side element, whereon a perimeter installation flange of the structural side elements opposite the interior surface and extending outward is configured to abut the mounting surface of a perimeter Grid Tee Flange in the cell of a Suspended Ceiling Grid.
 wherein at least two components are configured for adjacent installation into the ‘cells’ of a ceiling grid framework so that their decorative major surfaces are co-planer to one another and at least one of their straight decorative minor surfaces is adjacent to the other.
 wherein the systems design ability is determined by the relationship of the dropped Co-planer decorative major surfaces and the transitional continuity of its perpendicular decorative minor surfaces.
 wherein a unique lighting or ‘luminescent channel’ is purposely created in the cavity between the systems panels adjacent straight decorative minor surfaces for the installation of LED lighting systems.

         2 . The system of claim 1 wherein at least one component comprises a decorative minor surface that is curved.

         3 . The system of claim 1 wherein at least one component comprises a decorative minor surface that is diagonal.

         4 . The system of claim 1 wherein is incorporated a main component.

         5 . The system of claim 1 wherein is incorporated a transitional component.

         6 . The system of claim 1 wherein a linear componentized LED lighting system is used in the systems plurality of said luminescent channels.
