Abstract
The present invention concerns polypeptides comprising a variant Fc region. More particularly, the present invention concerns Fc region-containing polypeptides that have altered effector function as a consequence of one or more amino acid modifications in the Fc region thereof.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 25 . (canceled)
26 . Isolated nucleic acid encoding an antibody, wherein the antibody comprises a variant IgG1 Fc region which is not a native sequence Fc region, wherein the variant IgG1 Fc region comprises an amino acid substitution at amino acid position 239, and wherein the numbering of the residues in the Fc region is that of the EU index as in Kabat.
27 . A vector comprising the nucleic acid of claim 26 .
28 . A host cell comprising the vector of claim 27 .
29 . The nucleic acid of claim 26 , where the IgG1 Fc region is a human Fc region.
30 . A method for producing an antibody comprising a variant IgG1 Fc region comprising an amino acid substitution at position 239 of the Fc region, wherein the numbering is that of the EU index as in Kabat, wherein the method comprises culturing the host cell of claim 28 so that the nucleic acid is expressed.
31 . The method of claim 30 , further comprising recovering the antibody from the host cell culture.
32 . The method of claim 30 , wherein the variant IgG1 Fc region is a human Fc region.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
