Abstract
A skincare composition comprising Gorgonian extract as an anti-inflammatory component thereof, said skincare composition being selected from among compositions (I) and (II): (I) an aqueous composition comprising from 35 to 65 wt. % water, from 25 to 45 wt. % surfactant, from 0.01 to 0.2 wt. % retinol and from 0.005 to 0.5 wt. % Gorgonian extract, wherein all weight percentages are based on total weight of the aqueous face wash composition, and all weight percentages of all ingredients in the aqueous face wash composition total to 100 wt. %; and (II) a gel composition comprising from 60 to 90 wt. % water, from 1 to 12 wt. % benzoyl peroxide, and from 0.05 to 1.25 wt. % Gorgonian extract, wherein all weight percentages are based on total weight of the gel composition, and all weight percentages of all ingredients in the gel composition total to 100 wt. %.

A dermal composition product of a form adapted for skin care, said dermal composition product comprising Gorgonian extract as an anti-inflammatory component thereof, water, and at least one ingredient selected from the group consisting of: exfoliants, benzoyl peroxide, sodium cocoate, and glycerin.
2 . The dermal composition product of claim 1 , comprising benzoyl peroxide.
3 . The dermal composition product of claim 2 , wherein the total amount of benzoyl peroxide and Gorgonian extract is from 2 to 15 wt. %, based on total weight of the dermal composition product.
4 . The dermal composition product of claim 1 , comprising at least one exfoliant.
5 . The dermal composition product of claim 1 , comprising sodium cocoate.
6 . The dermal composition product of claim 1 , comprising glycerin.
7 . The dermal composition product of claim 1 , comprising glycerin and sodium cocoate.
8 . The dermal composition product of claim 1 , comprising benzoyl peroxide and sodium cocoate.
9 . The dermal composition product of claim 1 , formulated for treatment of psoriasis.
10 . The dermal composition product of claim 1 , formulated for treatment of acne.
11 . The dermal composition product of claim 1 , formulated for treatment of dermatitis.
12 . The dermal composition product of claim 1 , formulated for treatment of rosacea.
13 . The dermal composition product of claim 1 , formulated for skin cleansing.
14 . A method of enhancing skin condition, said method comprising washing the skin with a dermal composition product as claimed in claim 1 .
15 . The method of claim 14 , as conducted to cleanse the skin.
16 . The method of claim 14 , as conducted to exfoliate the skin.
17 . The method of claim 14 , comprising combating a skin disorder.
18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the skin disorder comprises acne.
