Jewelry display hanger with cable tie

Abstract

A jewelry display hanger is provided that includes: a body, a hook, a bracket and one or more fastening devices. The body has a hook or an aperture for attaching the hanger to a display case or display rod. The bracket is attached to the front surface of the body and the front surface of the bracket is concave and adapted to receive a piece of jewelry. The first end of the fastening device passes through at least two of the apertures in the body and secures the piece of jewelry to the hanger.

We claim: 
     
         1 . A jewelry display hanger comprising:
 a substantially flat body having a hook, front and rear surfaces, a longitudinal axis, a first end, a second end, two sides extending between the first and second ends and a plurality of apertures;   a bracket having a front surface, a rear surface, a first side and a second side, wherein the rear surface is attached to the front surface of the body, and wherein the front surface of the bracket is adapted to receive a piece of jewelry; and   a fastening device having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end passes through at least two of the plurality of apertures in the body and is connected to the second end to secure the piece of jewelry to the hanger.   
     
     
         2 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 1 , wherein the hook extends perpendicularly to the body from the first end and then parallel to the rear surface of the body towards the second end of the body. 
     
     
         3 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 1 , wherein the fastening device is a first cable tie having a first end and a second end comprising a locking device, wherein the first end passes through at least two of the plurality of apertures in the body and is inserted in the locking device to secure the piece of jewelry to the hanger. 
     
     
         4 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 3  further comprising a second cable tie similar to the first, wherein the second cable tie passes through the body in a manner similar to the first cable tie using two other of the plurality of apertures to further secure the piece of jewelry to the hanger. 
     
     
         4 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 1 , wherein the first end of the cable tie passes through one of the plurality of apertures in the body from the rear surface to the front surface, over the bracket and through a second of the plurality of apertures in the body from the front surface to the rear surface. 
     
     
         5 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 1 , wherein the front surface of the bracket is concave. 
     
     
         6 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 1  further comprising an aperture for receiving a rod of a display rack. 
     
     
         7 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 1 , wherein the fastening device is a twist tie, an elastic cord or a metal strap. 
     
     
         8 . A jewelry display hanger comprising:
 a substantially flat rectangular body having a hook, front and rear surfaces, a longitudinal axis, a first end, a second end, two sides extending between the first and second ends and a plurality of apertures;   a bracket having a concave front surface, a rear surface, a first side and a second side, wherein the rear surface is attached to the front surface of the body, and wherein the front surface of the bracket is adapted to receive a piece of jewelry; and   a first cable tie having a first end and a second end comprising a locking device, wherein the first end passes through at least two of the plurality of apertures in the body and is inserted in the locking device to secure the piece of jewelry to the hanger.   
     
     
         9 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 7 , wherein the hook extends perpendicularly to the body from the first end and then parallel to the rear surface of the body towards the second end of the body. 
     
     
         10 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 8  further comprising a second cable tie similar to the first, wherein the second cable tie passes through the body in a manner similar to the first cable tie using two other of the plurality of apertures to further secure the piece of jewelry to the hanger. 
     
     
         11 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 8 , wherein the first end of the cable tie passes through one of the plurality of apertures in the body from the rear surface to the front surface, over the bracket and through a second of the plurality of apertures in the body from the front surface to the rear surface. 
     
     
         12 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 8  further comprising an aperture for receiving a rod of a display rack. 
     
     
         13 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 8 , wherein the body has a rectangular shape. 
     
     
         14 . A jewelry display hanger comprising:
 a substantially flat rectangular body having a hook, front and rear surfaces, a longitudinal axis, a first end, a second end, two sides extending between the first and second ends and a plurality of apertures;   a bracket having a concave front surface, a rear surface, a first side and a second side, wherein the rear surface is attached to the front surface of the body, and wherein the front surface of the bracket is adapted to receive a piece of jewelry; and   a first cable tie having a first end and a second end comprising a locking device, wherein the first end passes through at least two of the plurality of apertures in the body and is inserted in the locking device to secure the piece of jewelry to the hanger.   
     
     
         15 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 14 , wherein the hook extends perpendicularly to the body from the first end and then parallel to the rear surface of the body towards the second end of the body. 
     
     
         16 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 14  further comprising a second cable tie similar to the first, wherein the second cable tie passes through the body in a manner similar to the first cable tie using two other of the plurality of apertures to further secure the piece of jewelry to the hanger. 
     
     
         17 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 14 , wherein the first end of the cable tie passes through one of the plurality of apertures in the body from the rear surface to the front surface, over the bracket and through a second of the plurality of apertures in the body from the front surface to the rear surface. 
     
     
         18 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 14  further comprising an aperture for receiving a rod of a display rack. 
     
     
         19 . The jewelry display hanger according to  claim 14 , wherein the cable tie locking device cannot be unlocked.
