Abstract

Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method of configuring a watch screen and a wearable electronic device implementing the same, which displays various pieces of information provided by an application, in an icon form, to enable a user to easily identify the information. A method of configuring a watch screen, the method comprising selecting one of a plurality of predetermined watch screens, thereby resulting in a selected watch screen; determining at least one icon of a plurality of predetermined icons as components of the selected watch screen; and displaying the selected watch screen, wherein the selected watch screen includes the at least one icon.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method of configuring a watch screen, the method comprising:
 selecting one of a plurality of predetermined watch screens, thereby resulting in a selected watch screen;   determining at least one icon of a plurality of predetermined icons as components of the selected watch screen; and   displaying the selected watch screen, wherein the selected watch screen includes the at least one icon.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein when the at least one icon comprises two or more icons, individually determining the two or more icons as the components of the selected watch screen or determining one icon and determining another icon mapped to the one icon as the components of the selected watch screen on the basis of an icon category. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein, determining the another icon, further comprises:
 displaying a sequence on the watch screen in which the two or more icons displayed are determined on the basis of a predetermined priority in accordance with the one icon.   
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the selected watch screen is predetermined on the basis of a watch application and is configured by one of an analog watch shape or a digital watch shape. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the icon is generated on the basis of an application stored in a wearable electronic device. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 5 , wherein, a new application is mapped in accordance with a predetermined icon category when the new application is installed in the wearable electronic device. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 6 , wherein the predetermined icon category comprises one of a “notification icon” displaying reception information of a message, a “weather icon” displaying weather information, a “health icon” displaying health information, a “dual watch icon” displaying time of a different city, and a “battery icon” displaying a residual battery amount. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 5 , wherein the icon changes one of an image displayed on the icon, a color of the icon, and a form of the icon according to setting of a user. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 5 , wherein the icon receives information from another electronic device communicably linked to the wearable electronic device and includes information. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 5 , wherein the icon is one of a variable icon changed in accordance with a user's input and a fixed icon. 
     
     
         11 . A method of configuring a watch screen, the method comprising:
 detecting an event by which a current mode is converted into a watch screen editing mode;   selecting a watch screen to be edited in the watch screen editing mode, thereby resulting in a selected watch screen; and   changing an icon included in the selected watch screen in accordance with an input.   
     
     
         12 . A wearable electronic device comprising:
 a memory that stores a watch application and a predetermined icon on the basis of the watch application;   a controller that selects one of a plurality of predetermined watch screens on the basis of the watch application stored in the memory, thereby resulting in a selected watch screen, determines at least one icon of a plurality of predetermined icons as components of the selected watch screen, and displays the watch screen including the at least one determined icon on a display unit; and   the display unit configured to display the selected watch screen including the at least one determined icon.   
     
     
         13 . The wearable electronic device of  claim 12 , wherein, when the at least one determined icon comprises two or more icons are included in the watch screen, the controller individually determines the icons as the components of the selected watch screen or determines one icon and determines another icon mapped to the one icon as the components of the selected watch screen on the basis of an icon category. 
     
     
         14 . The wearable electronic device of  claim 12 , further comprising an input unit that receives a user's input,
 wherein the controller detects an event by which a current mode is converted into a watch screen editing mode, selects the selected watch screen to be edited in the watch screen editing mode, and changes an icon included in the selected watch screen in accordance with the user's input received by the input unit.   
     
     
         15 . An electronic device comprising:
 a non-transitory computer readable medium storing a plurality of executable instructions; and   at least one processor for executing the plurality of executable instructions, wherein execution of the plurality of the executable instructions causes the at least one processor to perform:
 selecting one of a plurality of predetermined watch screens, thereby resulting in a selected watch screen; 
 determining at least one icon of a plurality of predetermined icons as components of the selected watch screen; and 
 displaying the selected watch screen, wherein the selected watch screen includes the at least one icon. 
   
     
     
         16 . The electronic device of  claim 15 , wherein when the at least one icon comprises two or more icons:
 individually determining the two or more icons as the components of the selected watch screen or determining one icon and determining another icon mapped to the one icon as the components of the selected watch screen on the basis of an icon category.   
     
     
         17 . The electronic device of  claim 16 , wherein, determining the another icon, further comprises:
 displaying a sequence on the watch screen in which the two or more icons displayed are determined on the basis of a predetermined priority in accordance with the one icon.   
     
     
         18 . The electronic device of  claim 15 , wherein the selected watch screen is predetermined on the basis of a watch application and is configured by one of an analog watch shape or a digital watch shape. 
     
     
         19 . The electronic device of  claim 15 , wherein the icon is generated on the basis of an application stored in the electronic device. 
     
     
         20 . The electronic device of  claim 19 , wherein, a new application is mapped in accordance with a predetermined icon category when the new application is installed in the electronic device.
