Abstract

A firearm safety assembly for preventing the firearm from being discharged by an unauthorized user includes a processor coupled to a firearm. A fingerprint scanner is coupled to the firearm. The fingerprint scanner may read an authorized user's fingerprint. The fingerprint scanner is operationally coupled to the processor. A thumbprint scanner is coupled to the firearm. The thumbprint scanner may read the authorized user's thumbprint. The thumbprint scanner is operationally coupled to the processor. A trigger lock is coupled to the firearm. The trigger lock is operationally coupled to the processor. The trigger lock allows the firearm to be fired when the processor receives the authorized user's fingerprint and thumbprint. A GPS is coupled to the firearm. The GPS is operationally coupled to the processor. The GPS determining a location of the firearm.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A firearm safety assembly configured to prevent the firearm from being discharged by an unauthorized user, said assembly comprising:
a processor coupled to the firearm; a fingerprint scanner coupled to the firearm such that said fingerprint scanner is configured to read an authorized user's fingerprint, said fingerprint scanner being operationally coupled to said processor, said fingerprint scanner being coupled to a front side of a trigger of the firearm such that the authorized user's finger contacts said fingerprint scanner when the authorized user grips the trigger of the firearm; a thumbprint scanner coupled to the firearm such that said thumbprint scanner is configured to read the authorized user's thumbprint, said thumbprint scanner being operationally coupled to said processor, said thumbprint scanner being coupled to a first lateral side of a grip of the firearm such that the authorized user's thumb contacts said thumbprint scanner when the authorized user grips the grip of the firearm; a trigger lock coupled to said firearm, said trigger lock being operationally coupled to said processor, said trigger lock allowing the firearm to be fired when said processor receives the authorized user's fingerprint and thumbprint; and a GPS coupled to the firearm, said GPS being operationally coupled to said processor, said GPS determining a location of the firearm.

         2 . (canceled)

3 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising said fingerprint scanner being electrically coupled to said processor.

         4 . (canceled)

5 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising said thumbprint scanner being electrically coupled to said processor.

6 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising said trigger lock being coupled to the trigger of the firearm such that said trigger lock retains said trigger of the firearm in a stationary position.

7 . The assembly according to claim 6 , wherein said trigger lock being electrically coupled to said processor.

8 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising a data port coupled to the firearm.

9 . The assembly according to claim 8 , further comprising said data port being electrically coupled to said processor.

10 . The assembly according to claim 9 , further comprising said data port being selectively electrically coupled to an external electronic device, said data port receiving fingerprint data pertaining to the authorized user such that the fingerprint data is stored in said processor.

11 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said GPS being electrically coupled to said processor.

12 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising a power supply coupled to the firearm.

13 . The assembly according to claim 12 , further comprising said power supply being electrically coupled to said processor.

14 . The assembly according to claim 13 , further comprising said power supply comprising at least one battery.

15 . A firearm safety assembly configured to prevent the firearm from being discharged by an unauthorized user, said assembly comprising:
a processor coupled to the firearm; a fingerprint scanner coupled to a front side of a trigger of the firearm such that the authorized user's finger contacts said fingerprint scanner when the authorized user grips the trigger of the firearm wherein said fingerprint scanner is configured to read the authorized user's fingerprint, said fingerprint scanner being electrically coupled to said processor; a thumbprint scanner coupled to a first lateral side of a grip of the firearm such that the authorized user's thumb contacts said thumbprint scanner when the authorized user grips the grip of the firearm wherein said thumbprint scanner is configured to read the authorized user's thumbprint, said thumbprint scanner being electrically coupled to said processor; a trigger lock coupled to the trigger of the firearm such that said trigger lock retains said trigger of the firearm in a stationary position, said trigger lock being electrically coupled to said processor, said trigger lock allowing the firearm to be fired when said processor receives the authorized user's fingerprint and thumbprint; a data port coupled to the firearm, said data port being electrically coupled to said processor, said data port being selectively electrically coupled to an external electronic device, said data port receiving fingerprint data pertaining to the authorized user such that the fingerprint data is stored in said processor; a GPS coupled to the firearm, said GPS being electrically coupled to said processor, said GPS determining a location of the firearm; and a power supply coupled to the firearm, said power supply being electrically coupled to said processor, said power supply comprising at least one battery.
