Precast concrete structures, precast tilt-up concrete structures and methods of making same

Abstract

The invention comprises a method of forming a concrete structure. The method comprises placing plastic concrete in a form of a desired shape, encasing the concrete in insulating material having insulating properties equivalent to at least 1 inch of expanded polystyrene and allowing the plastic concrete to at least partially cure inside the insulating material. An insulated concrete form and a method of using the insulated concrete form are also disclosed.

         37 . An anchor member comprising:
 an elongate body member having a first end and an opposite second end;   an enlarged portion on the first end of the anchor member; and   a capture member disposed on the second end for receiving and retaining an elongate reinforcing member.   
     
     
         38 . The anchor member of  claim 37 , wherein the elongate body member has a plus sign (“+”) transverse cross-sectional shape. 
     
     
         39 . The anchor member of  claim 38 , wherein the capture member has a C-shape. 
     
     
         40 . The anchor member of  claim 39 , wherein the elongate reinforcing member is a rebar. 
     
     
         41 . The anchor member of  claim 40 , wherein the enlarged portion comprises a disc-shaped member extending radially outwardly from the elongate body member. 
     
     
         42 . The anchor member of  claim 41  further comprising a first flange disposed intermediate the first and second ends and extending radially outwardly from the elongate body member. 
     
     
         43 . The anchor member of  claim 42  further comprising a second flange disposed intermediate the second end and the first flange and extending radially outwardly from the elongate body member. 
     
     
         44 . The anchor member of  claim 37 , wherein the capture member has a C-shape. 
     
     
         45 . The anchor member of  claim 37 , wherein the elongate reinforcing member is a rebar. 
     
     
         46 . The anchor member of  claim 37 , wherein the enlarged portion comprises a disc-shaped member extending radially outwardly from the elongate body member. 
     
     
         47 . The anchor member of  claim 37  further comprising a first flange disposed intermediate the first and second ends and extending radially outwardly from the elongate body member.
