Abstract
A method for making a purchase from an electronic device using an ear piece may include receiving audio information at a microphone of an ear piece, wherein the ear piece is made of a housing and a short range transceiver disposed within the ear piece. The method may further include wirelessly communicating information from the ear piece to the electronic device through the short range transceiver of the ear piece. The method is designed to allow using the electronic device to initiate a purchase based on the information from the ear piece.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system for control of electronic devices, the system comprising:
an earpiece comprising an ear piece housing and a short range transceiver disposed within the ear piece housing; a network node comprising a short range transceiver, the short range transceiver of the network node in operative communication with the earpiece through the short range transceiver of the ear piece.
2 . The system of claim 1 wherein the ear piece comprises at least one sensor.
3 . The system of claim 2 wherein the ear piece comprises an inertial sensor.
4 . The system of claim 1 further comprising an electronic device in operative communication with the ear piece through the network node.
5 . The system of claim 4 wherein the electronic device comprises a display.
6 . The system of claim 4 wherein the electronic device comprises a television.
7 . The system of claim 4 wherein the electronic device comprises a phone.
8 . The system of claim 4 wherein the electronic device is an entertainment device.
9 . The system of claim 1 wherein the network node is within a network of nodes.
10 . The system of claim 1 wherein the network node is within a network of nodes installed within a home.
11 . The system of claim 1 wherein the earpiece is configured to receive a data stream through the network node.
12 . The system of claim 1 wherein the earpiece is configured to receive an audio stream through the network node.
13 . The system of claim 1 wherein the earpiece is adapted to make a purchase.
14 . The system of claim 1 wherein the earpiece is adapted to purchase access to audio.
15 . The system of claim 1 wherein the earpiece is adapted to purchase access to video.
16 . A system for control of electronic devices, the system comprising:
a set of earpieces comprising a left ear piece and a right ear piece, wherein each of left ear piece and the right ear piece comprise an ear piece housing and a short range transceiver disposed within the ear piece housing; a network node comprising a short range transceiver, the short range transceiver of the network node in operative communication with the set of earpieces through the short range transceiver of the left ear piece or the right ear piece.
17 . The system of claim 16 wherein each of the left ear piece and the right ear piece comprises at least one sensor.
18 . The system of claim 17 wherein the each of the at least one sensor comprises an inertial sensor.
19 . The system of claim 16 wherein the set of earpieces are stereophonic.
20 . The system of claim 16 further comprising an electronic device in operative communication with the set of earpieces through the network node.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
