Roofing panel with anti-drip function
Abstract
A panel for the construction of roofing is described, which includes two substantially opposite surfaces and a plurality of elongated recesses formed on at least one of the two opposite surfaces of the panel. The panel is made of a thermoplastic material, preferably polycarbonate. Moreover, a roofing arrangement for structures formed by means of one or more panels is described, wherein the surface of the panel which includes the plurality of elongated recesses forms the inner surface of the roofing arrangement. The panel is particularly useful for the construction of roofing arrangements for structures designed for plant cultivation and/or plant protection, such as greenhouses, nurseries, covered gardens, and the like.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . Panel for the construction of a roofing arrangement, comprising two substantially opposite surfaces and made of a thermoplastic material, wherein the panel comprises a plurality of elongated recesses formed on at least one of said two opposite surfaces of said panel and the surface of the panel comprising the plurality of elongated recesses is the inner surface of the roofing arrangement.
. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein said elongated recesses extend along substantially straight lines.
. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein said elongated recesses extend parallel to each other.
. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein said elongated recesses extend over the entire length of the panel, thereby connecting two opposite sides of said panel.
. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein at least one elongated recess comprises at least one surface extending from at least one bottom portion to at least one ridge of said recess.
. Panel according to claim 5 , wherein the at least one ridge of at least one elongated recess coincides with at least one ridge of a successive elongated recess formed on said surface ( 2 ) of the panel.
. Panel according to claim 5 , wherein said at least one surface extending from at least one bottom portion to at least one ridge of said at least one recess comprises at least one flat portion, or at least one concave portion, or at least one convex portion.
. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein said panel is corrugated, with said two opposite surfaces being bent or curved at one or more lines.
. Panel according to claim 8 , wherein said elongated recesses extend substantially parallel with respect to said lines at which said opposite surfaces of the panel are bent or curved.
. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein said elongated recesses substantially cover the entire surface of the panel.
. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein said plurality of elongated recesses are formed only on one of said two opposite surfaces of the panel, the surface of said panel opposite to the surface which comprises said plurality of elongated recesses being substantially smooth.
. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein the thickness (T) between the two surfaces of the panel is between about 3 mm and about 0.8 mm.
. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein the depth (P) of said elongated recesses is proportional to the thickness (T) of the panel.
. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein the depth (P) of said elongated recesses is between about 0.2 mm and about 2.5 mm.
. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein said panel has a length, between two opposite sides, substantially equal to the distance between the upper point, or zone, and at least one lower point, or zone, of said roofing arrangement with respect to the ground, or with respect to a substantially horizontal plane.
. (canceled)
. Roofing arrangement for a structure, comprising at least one panel according to claim 1 , wherein the surface of said panel comprising said plurality of elongated recesses is the inner surface of said roofing arrangement.
. Roofing arrangement according to claim 17 , wherein said roofing arrangement is at least partially tilted or curved with respect to the ground or with respect to a substantially horizontal plane, said at least one panel being arranged in such a way that said plurality of elongated recesses extend substantially in the direction connecting at least one upper point, or zone, to at least one lower point, or zone, of said roofing arrangement with respect to the ground, or with respect to a substantially horizontal plane.
. Roofing arrangement according to claim 17 , wherein said at least one panel has a length between two opposite sides substantially equal to the distance between the upper point, or zone, and at least one lower point, or zone, of said roofing arrangement with respect to the ground, or with respect to a substantially horizontal plane.
. Roofing arrangement according to claim 17 , wherein two or more panels are constrained in succession with said elongated recesses of two aligned panels arranged in succession.
. Roofing arrangement according to claim 17 , wherein two or more panels are arranged to overlap on one another.
. Roofing arrangement according to claim 17 , wherein two or more panels of the roofing arrangement are arranged on the same plane.
. (canceled)
. Panel according to claim 1 , wherein the thermoplastic material is polycarbonate.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
