Smoke and/or Vapor Ignition, Cooling and Dispensing Device
Abstract
A device which generates, cools and dispenses smoke and/or vapor intended for therapeutic use as well as recreational and flavor enjoyment providing ease of control and operation of said device, while heating the desired herb or essential oil enough to be combusted and/or vaporized, then subsequently chilled before being dispensed to the user by air stream. It also provides additional possible benefits such as filtration of condensed tars from cooled smoke, and possible decreased respiratory irritation. In one preferred embodiment, the device may be constructed as a single simple and portable home use unit. In another preferred embodiment, a single or multiple channeled commercial dispensing unit for use on many commercial levels of application. It may be used with materials such as different types of tobacco and/or herbs such as lavender, chamomile, peppermint, cannabis indica, cannabis sativa , with the different strains or phenotypes of each accentuated, as well as the essential oils and/or extracts of said herbs.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A smoking and/or vaporizing device adapted for both heating up material to be smoked and/or vaporized, causing a smoke and/or vapor to be released from said material and subsequently cooling down the smoke and/or vapor before being dispensed from apparatus, comprising:
at least one bowl, for holding material to be smoked and/or vaporized; at least one heating means for creating heat to cause combustion and/or vaporization of material to be smoked and/or vaporized; at least one means for creating positive air pressure over said bowl, creating a mostly air tight, positive pressure placed over said bowl, whereby said positive pressure means comprising of at least one plenum chamber; at least one means for driving air, said air driving means providing a supply of air to said positive pressure means, whereby said means for driving air comprises at least one air pump; At least one means for cooling, whereby said cooling means comprises at least one cooling surface in which said smoke and/or vapor passes in close proximity to, or direct contact with between said bowl and said dispensing means; and At least one means for dispensing the cooled smoke and/or vapor from the device.
2 . A device as in claim 1 , wherein at least one bowl is used comprising a material that can withstand heat created by said heating means comprising glass, quartz, ceramic material or other materials that can withstand heat.
3 . A device as in claim 1 , wherein at least one heating element is used as a heating means for creating heat.
4 . A device as in claim 1 , whereby said cooling means comprising of at least one cooling surface can be cooled by applying things that are cold comprising ice, solid carbon dioxide, anhydrous ammonia, refrigerants, or other things that are cold, including processes that can make things cold, including evaporation and/or refrigeration processes.
5 . A device as in claim 1 , wherein at least one dispensing nozzle may be optionally used as dispensing means in order to dispense said smoke and/or vapor from said device.
6 . A device as in claim 4 , wherein at least one thermo electric generator is used as said cooling means.
7 . A device as in claim 1 , whereby said at least one cooling means comprising at least one cooling surface wherein at least one channel or pathway is applied to said cooling means allowing said smoke and/or vapor maximum surface and time exposure with said cooling surface for increased cooling of said smoke and/or vapor.
8 . A device as in claim 7 , wherein at least one channel or pathway is used as a cooling surface allowing said smoke and/or vapor to pass through, at least one cooling block may be optionally be used whereby said channel or pathway is formed within said cooling block.
9 . A device as in claim 7 , whereby at least one channel or pathway may be optionally used as a cooling surface to allow smoke and/or vapor to pass through, at least one length of tubing.
10 . A device as in claim 7 , wherein said cooling system optionally includes at least one fan aiding in the exhaustion of heat away from said system.
11 . A device as in claim 1 , wherein said bowl is in fluid connection with said cooling means, allowing said smoke and/or vapor to be pumped through said connection by said positive air pressure, thus driving said smoke and/or vapor to cooling means optionally comprising at least one length of tubing.
12 . A device as in claim 1 , wherein said cooling means is in fluid connection with said dispensing means, allowing the cooled smoke and/or vapor to be pumped through said connection means by said positive air pressure, thus driving said smoke and/or vapor from said cooling means to said dispensing means optionally comprising at least one length of tubing.
13 . A device as in claim 1 , wherein said cooling means may further optionally comprise at least one heat sink to aid in the effect of cooling by drawing heat away from said cooling means.
14 . A device as in claim 13 , wherein said heat sink may be optionally applied to at least one liquid coolant system allowing said liquid coolant to cause further cooling by drawing heat away from said heat sink and toward liquid coolant within said system.
15 . A device as in claim 14 , wherein at least one reservoir may be optionally used to increase the total volume of liquid coolant within the liquid coolant system.
16 . A device as in claim 14 , wherein at least one liquid coolant pump may be optionally used to pump liquid coolant through at least one configuration of the liquid cooling system.
17 . A device as in claim 14 , wherein at least one radiator may be optionally used to aid in heat dissipation from said liquid coolant.
18 . A device as in claim 1 , wherein said dispensing means dispenses said cooled smoke and/or vapor, at least one serving means may be optionally used to collect and/or direct the smoke and/or vapor from said dispensing means, and used for delivering the smoke and/or vapor from said device to the user optionally comprising at least one drinking glass, airtight bag, balloon, bottle, or any vessel that can hold smoke and/or vapor.
19 . A device as in claim 18 , wherein said serving means may optionally comprise an extension attachment to the dispensing means, comprising a tube, mouthpiece, or any other item that can attach directly to the dispensing means and be used to aid in the control of the flow of the dispensed smoke and/or vapor to a location of choice.
20 . A device as in claim 14 , wherein at least one means of connecting any components of said liquid coolant system together in fluid connectivity, aiding in the direction and flow of said liquid coolant within said system and is used optionally comprising at least one length of tubing.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
