22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the portable communication device further includes a first display controller associated with the first touch sensitive display and a second display controller associated with the second touch sensitive display.
23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the second section of the gallery displays the one or more thumbnails in a grid including rows and columns, and wherein the second section of the gallery is larger than the first section of the gallery.
24 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the first touch sensitive display is on a first screen of the portable communication device and the second touch sensitive display is on a different second screen of the portable communication device.
25 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the first section of the gallery is navigable, and wherein the first and second touch sensitive displays are on a common first screen of the portable communication device.
26 . The method of claim 22 , wherein the first and second display controllers are operable to receive touch inputs to the first and second touch sensitive displays and send signals to the first and second touch sensitive displays to control the output of the first and second touch sensitive displays, and wherein the selection of the thumbnail is received by one of the first display controller and the second display controller.
27 . The method of claim 21 , further comprising:
receiving, in the first section of the gallery, a selection of a first icon representing a first album; and in response to receiving the selection of the first icon, displaying, in the second section of the gallery, one or more thumbnails associated with one or more images in the first album.
28 . The method of claim 27 , further comprising receiving, in the first section of the gallery, a second selection of a second icon representing a second album.
29 . The method of claim 28 , further comprising, in response to receiving the second selection of the second icon, displaying, in the second section of the gallery, one or more thumbnails associated with one or more images in the second album.
30 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the one or more albums are created before the first input was received, and wherein an album is a logical structure that stores one or more images that are associated with each other.
31 . A portable communication device, comprising:
a first touch sensitive display; a second touch sensitive display; a memory; and a processor in communication with the memory, the first touch sensitive display, and the second touch sensitive display, the processor operable to:
receive a first input to the device, wherein the first input executes a first application, wherein the first application is not a gallery application;
receive a second input in the first application;
in response to the second input, execute a picker service;
in the picker service, display a gallery across at least a portion of the first touch sensitive display and at least a portion of the second touch sensitive display;
display, on the first touch sensitive display, a first section of the gallery comprising icons associated with albums, each album comprising a collection of images;
display a second section of the gallery on portions of the first and second touch sensitive displays, the second section of the gallery comprising thumbnails associated with images from the albums associated with the icons displayed in the first section of the gallery;
receive, in the second section of the gallery, a selection of a thumbnail associated with an image from an album, wherein the image is a picture or a video; and
provide the image, from the album, to the first application.
