User interface display method and apparatus therefor

Abstract

A user interface (UI) display method is provided. The UI display method includes displaying an operation window including one or more setting items on a screen, and if a first one of the setting items is inputted, causing at least a part or all of the remaining operation window part except for the first item not to be displayed on the screen.

1 . A user interface (UI) display method comprising:
 displaying an operation window comprising one or more setting items on a screen; and   if an input is generated on a first item among the one or more setting items of the operation window displayed on the screen, causing at least a part or all of a remaining part of the operation window except for the first item not to be displayed on the screen.   
     
     
         2 . The UI display method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 after the causing of the at least the part or all of the remaining part of the operation window displayed on the screen except for the first item not to be displayed on the screen, displaying the at least the part or all of the remaining part of the operation window displayed on the screen except for the first item on the screen upon termination of the input of the first item.   
     
     
         3 . The UI display method of  claim 2 , wherein the termination of the input of the first item comprises at least one of completion of setting of the first item, termination of setting of the first item, termination of the input corresponding to an elapse of a preset time, and generation of an input on a part other than the first item. 
     
     
         4 . The UI display method of  claim 1 , further comprising applying a setting corresponding to the generated input to the screen according to the input generated on the first item. 
     
     
         5 . The UI display method of  claim 1 , wherein the input comprises at least one of a touch, a hovering, a mouse over, a mouse click, a mouse drag, pressing of a button, and a voice input. 
     
     
         6 . The UI display method of  claim 1 , further comprising displaying the at least the part or all of the remaining part of the operation window displayed on the screen except for the first item semi-transparently on the screen, if an input is generated on a first item among the one or more setting items of the operation window displayed on the screen. 
     
     
         7 . A user interface (UI) display apparatus comprising:
 an input unit configured to receive a user's operation;   a display unit configured to display an execution image and an operation state and a menu state of an application; and   a controller configured to:
 display an operation window comprising one or more setting items on the display unit, and 
 if an input is generated on a first item among the one or more setting items of the operation window displayed on the display unit according to an input through the input unit, control at least a part or all of a remaining part of the operation window except for the first item not to be displayed on the display unit. 
   
     
     
         8 . The UI display apparatus of  claim 7 , wherein, after the causing of the at least the part or all of the remaining part of the operation window displayed on the display unit except for the first item not to be displayed on the display unit, the controller is further configured to control the at least the part or all of the remaining part of the operation window displayed on the display unit except for the first item to be displayed on the display unit upon termination of the input of the first item. 
     
     
         9 . The UI display apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the termination of the input of the first item comprises at least one of completion of setting of the first item, termination of setting of the first item, termination of the input corresponding to an elapse of a preset time, and generation of an input on a part other than the first item. 
     
     
         10 . The UI display apparatus of  claim 7 , wherein the controller controls a setting corresponding to the generated input to be applied to the screen according to the input generated on the first item. 
     
     
         11 . The UI display apparatus of  claim 7 , wherein the input comprises at least one of a touch, a hovering, a mouse over, a mouse click, a mouse drag, pressing of a button, and a voice input. 
     
     
         12 . The UI display apparatus of  claim 7 , wherein the controller displays an operation window comprising one or more setting items on the display unit, and controls the at least the part or all of the remaining part of the operation window displayed on the display unit except for the first item to be displayed semi-transparently on the display unit if an input is generated on a first item among the one or more setting items of the operation window displayed on the display unit according to an input through the input unit. 
     
     
         13 . The UI display method of  claim 1 , wherein the one or more setting items comprise at least one of a screen brightness setting, a font size setting, and a volume setting. 
     
     
         14 . The UI display apparatus of  claim 7 , wherein the one or more setting items comprise at least one of a screen brightness setting, a font size setting, and a volume setting. 
     
     
         15 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause at least one processor to perform the method of  claim 1 .
