Fan assembly
Abstract
A fan assembly includes a body and a nozzle connected to the body. The body includes an impeller, a motor housing, and a motor located within the motor housing for driving the impeller. The impeller has a substantially conical hub connected to the motor, a plurality of curved vanes connected to the outer surface of the hub, and an annular vane connected to the base of the hub. The motor housing has an annular groove for receiving at least the tip of the annular vane, and an annular lip forming a drip edge extending about the motor housing, the annular lip defining an outer peripheral wall of the groove.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A fan assembly comprising a body and a nozzle connected to the body, the body comprising:
an impeller; a motor housing; and a motor located within the motor housing for driving the impeller; wherein the impeller comprises a substantially conical hub connected to the motor, a plurality of curved vanes connected to the outer surface of the hub, and an annular vane connected to the base of the hub, and wherein the motor housing comprises an annular groove for receiving at least the tip of the annular vane, and an annular lip forming a drip edge extending about the motor housing, the annular lip defining an outer peripheral wall of the groove.
2 . The fan assembly of claim 1 , wherein the annular vane is substantially cylindrical in shape.
3 . The fan assembly of claim 1 , wherein the annular groove is formed in substantially frustoconical wall of the motor housing which is located adjacent to the hub of the impeller.
4 . The fan assembly of claim 1 , wherein the annular lip does not protrude downwardly from the motor housing beyond the hub of the impeller.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
