Claims

Abstract

An undergarment is intended to be worn by a user in combination with a brassiere having a back band. The undergarment comprises a unitary body piece having an inside, an outside, a front, a back, opposing sides, a top portion and a bottom portion, each defined by their relative positions when worn by the user. The undergarment further comprises at least one fastener adjacent the top portion and operable to removably engage the brassiere adjacent the back hand such that the back of the user is not visible between the back band and the top portion.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A body shaper, comprising:
 a back portion; and   an attachment mechanism for attaching an upper portion of the back portion to a bra, the attachment resulting in a gapless union of the bra to the back portion.   
     
     
         2 . The body shaper of  claim 1 , the back portion being a high back. 
     
     
         3 . The body shaper of  claim 1 , the attachment mechanism comprising at least one of: a set of clips, an adhesive, Velcro, a set of hooks and eyes, a set of buttons, a set of snaps, a strap, a bra strap, a no-slip material, a silicone material, a fold over edge, and a high back capable of being tucked under a bra band. 
     
     
         4 . The body shaper of  claim 1 , the attachment mechanism being positioned in line with a traditional placement of existing bra straps. 
     
     
         5 . The body shaper of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one of: a crotch flap, a slip, full legs, closed feet, panty style, waist style, and shorts. 
     
     
         6 . The body shaper of  claim 1 , the attachment mechanism being removable from at least one of the body shaper and the bra. 
     
     
         7 . The body shaper of  claim 1 , having one or more attachment mechanism locations along the back portion. 
     
     
         8 . The body shaper of  claim 1 , the body shaper comprising high sides and one or more attachment mechanism locations along the high sides. 
     
     
         9 . The body shaper of  claim 1 , the attachment mechanism being used in conjunction with an interchangeable set of bras and style of bra cups. 
     
     
         10 . A method of connecting a body shaper to a bra, comprising:
 donning the bra;   donning the body shaper, comprising a back portion; and   connecting the upper portion of the back portion of the body shaper to the bra with an attachment mechanism to create a gapless union between the bra and the body shaper.   
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 10 , the back portion being a high back and a left and right side of the body shaper being even with one of the back portion or a front portion of the body shaper. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 10 , the attachment mechanism comprising at least one of: a set of clips, an adhesive, Velcro, a set of hooks and eyes, a set of buttons, a set of snaps, a strap, a bra strap, a no-slip material, and a silicone material; where the attachment mechanism is removable from at least one of the body shaper and the bra. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 10 , further comprising:
 positioning the attachment mechanism in line with a traditional placement of existing bra straps.   
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 10 , further comprising:
 selecting an attachment mechanism location from a set of attachment mechanism locations along a back band of the bra; and   attaching the body shaper to the bra at the selected attachment mechanism location.   
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 10 , further comprising at least one of: securing a crotch flap on the body shaper, and the body shaper incorporating a slip, full legs, closed feet, panty style, waist style, or shorts. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 10 , the bra comprising an interchangeable set of bras and style of bra cups. 
     
     
         17 . A body shaper, comprising:
 a back, a front and sides; and   a substantially hidden connection mechanism used for joining the body shaper to at least one of a band of a bra and a strap of a bra, the joining resulting in a gapless union between the bra and the body shaper.   
     
     
         18 . The body shaper of  claim 17 , the back of the body shaper being a high back and the sides of the body shaper being at least one of the same height as the front and back of the body shaper. 
     
     
         19 . The body shaper of  claim 17 , the connection mechanism comprising a no-slip surface disposed between material of the bra and body shaper. 
     
     
         20 . The body shaper of  claim 17 , the connection mechanism being entirely removable from at least one of the body shaper and the bra.
