Claims

Abstract

A placket of a shirt with an embedded eyelet piece is provided. The placket of the present invention includes a top end and a bottom end. A collar is attached to the top end of the placket. The placket further includes a front placket and a back placket. A plurality of buttons are sewn along the length of the back placket. A plurality of button holes are formed through the front placket. The present invention further includes an eyelet piece attached near or below the bottom end of the placket. The eyelet piece forms an embedded opening to receive one of a right arm and a left arm of eyewear within.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A placket comprising:
 a top end and a bottom end, wherein a collar is attached at the top end;   a back placket portion comprising a plurality of buttons;   a front placket portion comprising a plurality of button holes; and   an eyelet piece attached at the bottom end, connecting the back placket and the front placket together, the eyelet piece comprising a front fabric layer attached to a rear fabric layer forming an opening in between.   
     
     
         2 . The placket of  claim 1 , further comprising a mesh layer attached to an inner surface of the front fabric layer. 
     
     
         3 . The placket of  claim 1 , wherein the rear fabric layer is attached below and in between the back placket portion and the front placket portion 
     
     
         4 . The placket of  claim 1 , wherein the opening is centered along a vertical axis of the placket. 
     
     
         5 . The placket of  claim 1 , wherein the front fabric layer and the rear fabric layer are formed of an elongated fabric layer comprising ends and a bend, wherein the bend is stitched together and the ends are stitched together forming the opening in between the bend and the ends. 
     
     
         6 . A shirt comprising:
 a placket comprising a top end attached to a collar, a bottom end, a back placket portion comprising a plurality of buttons, and a front placket portion comprising a plurality of button holes; and   an eyelet piece attached to the shirt below the placket, the eyelet piece comprising at least a front fabric layer comprising a first end and a second, wherein the first end and second end are secured to the shirt forming an opening in between, wherein the opening is formed along a central vertical axis of the placket.   
     
     
         7 . The shirt of  claim 6 , further comprising a mesh layer attached to an inner surface of the front fabric layer. 
     
     
         8 . The shirt of  claim 6 , further comprising a rear fabric layer secured to the front fabric layer forming the opening in between, wherein the rear fabric layer is attached below and in between the back placket portion and the front placket portion 
     
     
         9 . The shirt of  claim 8 , wherein the front fabric layer and the rear fabric layer are formed of an elongated fabric layer comprising ends and a bend, wherein the bend is stitched together and the ends are stitched together forming the opening in between the bend and the ends.
