Abstract

A system may include a left ear piece comprising an ear piece housing, a short range transceiver disposed within the ear piece housing, at least one input sensor disposed within the ear piece housing, a speaker disposed within the ear piece housing and a right ear piece comprising an ear piece housing, a short range transceiver disposed within the ear piece housing, at least one input sensor disposed within the ear piece housing, a speaker disposed within the ear piece housing. The system may be adapted to play stereophonic audio using the left ear piece and the right ear piece.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A system comprising:
a left ear piece comprising an ear piece housing, a short range transceiver disposed within the ear piece housing, at least one input sensor disposed within the ear piece housing, a speaker disposed within the ear piece housing; a right ear piece comprising an ear piece housing, a short range transceiver disposed within the ear piece housing, at least one input sensor disposed within the ear piece housing, a speaker disposed within the ear piece housing; wherein the system is adapted to play stereophonic audio using the left ear piece and the right ear piece.

2 . The system of claim 1 wherein the left ear piece further comprises an inertial sensor disposed within the housing.

3 . The system of claim 2 wherein the right ear piece further comprises an inertial sensor disposed within the housing.

4 . The system of claim 1 wherein the left ear piece further comprises a physiological sensor.

5 . The system of claim 4 wherein the physiological sensor comprises a pulse oximeter.

6 . The system of claim 4 wherein the physiological sensor comprises a temperature sensor.

7 . The system of claim 1 wherein the right ear piece further comprises a physiological sensor.

8 . The system of claim 7 wherein the physiological sensor comprises a pulse oximeter.

9 . The system of claim 7 wherein the physiological sensor comprises a temperature sensor.

10 . The system of claim 1 wherein the left ear piece is configured for receiving a purchase request and communicating the purchase request through the transceiver of the left ear piece.

11 . The system of claim 1 wherein the right ear piece is configured for receiving a purchase request and communicating the purchase request through the transceiver of the right ear piece.

12 . The system of claim 1 wherein the transceiver of the left ear piece is adapted for communicating with the transceiver of the right ear piece.

13 . The system of claim 1 wherein the left ear piece further comprises an accelerometer.

14 . The system of claim 1 wherein the right ear piece further comprises an accelerometer.

         15 . An earpiece comprising:
an ear piece housing; a short range transceiver disposed within the ear piece housing; at least one input sensor disposed within the ear piece housing; and a speaker disposed within the ear piece housing; an inertial sensor disposed within the ear piece housing; and a physiological sensor disposed within the ear piece housing.

16 . The system of claim 15 wherein the ear piece is configured for receiving a purchase request and communicating the purchase request through the short range transceiver.

17 . The system of claim 16 wherein the purchase request is made via a voice command received by the at least one input sensor.

18 . The system of claim 15 wherein the physiological sensor is a pulse oximeter.

19 . The system of claim 15 wherein the physiological sensor is a temperature sensor.

20 . The system of claim 15 wherein the ear piece is configured for generating audio associated with a purchase request made using the device.

         21 . An earpiece comprising:
an ear piece housing; a short range transceiver disposed within the ear piece housing; at least one input sensor disposed within the ear piece housing; and a speaker disposed within the ear piece housing; wherein the earpiece is adapted to sense and interpret position or movement information.

22 . The earpiece of claim 21 further comprising an inertial sensor and wherein the position or movement information is sensed with the inertial sensor.

23 . The earpiece of claim 21 wherein the earpiece is configured to communication with as second earpiece to play stereophonic audio to a user.
