Abstract
A video processing device includes a data segmentation generator that receives a domain selection, n, and that segments input A/V data into n data blocks. An encryption processing device receives an encryption depth selection, k, and a range selection, m, and sequentially encrypts each of the n data blocks m times using k different keys to generate n encrypted data blocks. An output formatter generates encrypted A/V data from the n encrypted data blocks.

1 . A video processing device for adjusting encrypted audio/video (A/V) data, the video processing device comprising:
an encryption processing device configured to receive the encrypted A/V data with a domain n 0 , a depth k 0 and a range m 0 , wherein the encrypted A/V data includes n 0 data blocks that are each sequentially encrypted m 0 times using k 0 different keys, to receive at least one of: an encryption depth selection k, or an encryption range selection m, and that adjusts a strength of encrypted A/V data to generate adjusted data by changing at least one of: the depth k 0 or the range m 0 of the encrypted A/V data to at least one of: an adjusted depth (k 0 +k) or an adjusted range (m 0 +m); an output formatter configured to generate adjusted encrypted A/V data from the adjusted data.
2 . The video processing device of claim 1 wherein the encrypted A/V data further includes residual data, and the output formatter generates the adjusted encrypted A/V data from the adjusted data and the residual data.
3 . The video processing device of claim 2 wherein the encryption processing device does not encrypt the residual data.
4 . The video processing device of claim 1 further comprising:
a key storage device, coupled to the encryption device, for storing the k different keys.
5 . The video processing device of claim 1 wherein, when the encryption processing device adjusts the strength of encrypted A/V data by changing the range m 0 of the encrypted A/V data to the adjusted range (m 0 +m), the encryption processing device encrypts the n 0 encrypted A/V blocks m times.

The video processing device of claim 1 wherein, when the encryption processing device adjusts the strength of encrypted A/V data by changing the range m 0 of the encrypted A/V data to the adjusted range (m 0 +m), and the depth k 0 to the adjusted depth (k 0 +k), the decryption processing device decrypts the n 0 encrypted A/V blocks m times with k different keys.
7 . The video processing device of claim 1 wherein the encrypted A/V data is formatted in accordance with an A/V format and the output formatter formats the adjusted encrypted A/V data in accordance with the A/V format.
8 . The video processing device of claim 1 wherein, when the encryption processing device adjusts the strength of encrypted A/V data by further changing the domain n 0 of the encrypted A/V data to an adjusted range (n 0 +n).
9 . A video processing device for adjusting encrypted audio/video (A/V) data, the video processing device comprising:
a decryption processing device configured to receive the encrypted A/V data with a domain n 0 , a depth k 0 and a range m 0 , wherein the encrypted A/V data includes n 0 data blocks that are each sequentially encrypted m 0 times using k 0 different keys, to receive at least one of: an encryption depth selection k, or an encryption range selection m, and that adjusts a strength of encrypted A/V data to generate adjusted data by changing at least one of: the depth k 0 or the range m 0 of the encrypted A/V data to at least one of: an adjusted depth (k 0 -k) or an adjusted range (m 0 -m); an output formatter configured to generate adjusted encrypted A/V data from the adjusted data.
10 . The video processing device of claim 9 wherein the encrypted A/V data further includes residual data, and the output formatter generates the adjusted encrypted A/V data from the adjusted data and the residual data.
11 . The video processing device of claim 10 wherein the decryption processing device does not decrypt the residual data.
12 . The video processing device of claim 9 further comprising:
a key storage device, coupled to the decryption processing device, for storing the k different keys.
13 . The video processing device of claim 9 wherein, when the decryption processing device adjusts the strength of encrypted A/V data by changing the range m 0 of the encrypted A/V data to the adjusted range (m 0 -m), the decryption processing device decrypts the n 0 encrypted A/V blocks m times.

The video processing device of claim 9 wherein, when the decryption processing device adjusts the strength of encrypted A/V data by changing the range m 0 of the encrypted A/V data to the adjusted range (m 0 -m), and the depth k 0 to the adjusted depth (k 0 -k), the decryption processing device decrypts the n 0 encrypted A/V blocks m times with k different keys.
15 . The video processing device of claim 9 wherein the encrypted A/V data is formatted in accordance with an A/V format and the output formatter formats the adjusted encrypted A/V data in accordance with the A/V format.
