Abstract

A portable pen assembly for being placed within a bathtub such that a user is retained within the assembly includes a base that may be positioned within a bathtub. A pair of first walls is each movably coupled to opposite sides of the base. Each of the pair of first walls is positionable in a deployed position. The pair of first walls extends upwardly from the base. A pair of second walls is each removably coupled between the pair of first walls. Each of the pair of first and second walls encloses the base. The assembly may contain the user. A liner is positionable within the assembly. The liner covers the base and each of the pair of first and second walls.

I claim:

1 . A portable pen assembly configured to be placed within a bathtub such that a user is retained within said assembly, said assembly comprising:
a base configured to be positioned within the bathtub; a pair of first walls each movably coupled to opposite sides of said base, each of said pair of first walls being positionable in a deployed position such that said pair of first walls extends upwardly from said base; a pair of second walls each removably coupled between said pair of first walls such that each of said pair of first and second walls encloses said base wherein said assembly is configured to contain the user; and a liner positionable within said assembly such that said liner covers said base and each of said pair of first and second walls.

2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said base having an outer edge extending between each of a top side and a bottom side of said base, said base being positionable within the bathtub such that said bottom side of said base abuts a top surface of the bathtub.

3 . The assembly according to claim 2 , further comprising each of said pair of first walls having an extraneous edge extending between each of a inner side and an outer side of each of said pair of first walls, a lower side of said extraneous edge of each of said pair of first walls abutting said top side of said base such that each of said pair of first walls is coextensive with an associated one of a front side and a back side of said outer edge of said base.

4 . The assembly according to claim 3 , further comprising said outer side of each of said pair of first walls having a pair of insets being coextensive with an associated one of a first oblique side and a second oblique side of said extraneous edge of each of said pair of first walls.

5 . The assembly according to claim 3 , further comprising a pair of hinges each coupled between said top side of said base and said inner side of each of said pair of first walls such that each of said pair of first walls is hingedly coupled to said base.

6 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein each of said pair of second walls having an outermost edge extending between each of an innermost side and an outermost side of each of said pair of second walls, each of a first lateral side and a second lateral side of said outermost edge of each of said pair of second walls being directed forwardly from said innermost side of each of said pair of second walls such that each of said pair of second walls has a U-shape.

7 . The assembly according to claim 6 , further comprising said innermost side of each of said pair of second walls having a pair of insets being coextensive with an associated one of said first and second lateral sides of said outermost edge of each of said pair of second walls.

8 . The assembly according to claim 7 , further comprising each of said pair of second walls being positionable such that said pair of insets on each of said pair of second walls engages an associated one of a pair of insets on each of said pair of first walls, each of said pair of first and second walls forming a barrier around an outer edge of said base.

9 . The assembly according to claim 3 , further comprising each of said pair of first walls having a plurality of apertures extending through said inner and outer sides of said pair of first walls, said plurality apertures being evenly spaced apart and distributed along an entire length and width of each of said pair of first walls, said plurality of apertures allowing a fluid to pass through each of said pair of first walls.

10 . The assembly according to claim 6 , further comprising each of said pair of second walls having a plurality of openings extending through said innermost and outermost sides of each of said pair of second walls, said plurality of openings being evenly spaced apart and distributed along an entire length and width of each of said pair of second walls, said plurality of openings allowing a fluid to pass through each of said pair of second walls.

11 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said liner having a top surface and a bottom surface, said liner being positionable within said assembly such that said bottom surface of said liner covers a top side of said base, an inner side of each of said pair of first walls and an innermost side of each of said second walls.

12 . A portable pen assembly configured to be placed within a bathtub such that a user is retained within said assembly, said assembly comprising:
a base having an outer edge extending between each of a top side and a bottom side of said base, said base being positionable within the bathtub such that said bottom side of said base abuts a top surface of the bathtub; a pair of first walls each having an extraneous edge extending between each of a inner side and an outer side of each of said pair of first walls, a lower side of said extraneous edge of each of said pair of first walls abutting said top side of said base such that each of said pair of first walls is coextensive with an associated one of a front side and a back side of said outer edge of said base; said outer side of each of said pair of first walls having a pair of insets being coextensive with an associated one of a first oblique side and a second oblique side of said extraneous edge of each of said pair of first walls; a pair of hinges each coupled between said top side of said base and said inner side of each of said pair of first walls such that each of said pair of first walls is hingedly coupled to said base; each of said pair of first walls being positionable in a deployed position such that said pair of first walls extends upwardly from said base; each of said pair of first walls having a plurality of apertures extending through said inner and outer sides of said pair of first walls, said plurality apertures being evenly spaced apart and distributed along an entire length and width of each of said pair of first walls, said plurality of apertures allowing a fluid to pass through each of said pair of first walls; a pair of second walls each having an outermost edge extending between each of an innermost side and an outermost side of each of said pair of second walls, each of a first lateral side and a second lateral side of said outermost edge of each of said pair of second walls being directed forwardly from said innermost side of each of said pair of second walls such that each of said pair of second walls has a U-shape; said innermost side of each of said pair of second walls having a pair of insets being coextensive with an associated one of said first and second lateral sides of said outermost edge of each of said pair of second walls; each of said pair of second walls being positionable such that said pair of insets on each of said pair of second walls engages an associated one of a pair of insets on each of said pair of first walls, each of said pair of first and second walls forming a barrier around an outer edge of said base wherein said assembly is configured to contain the user; each of said pair of second walls having a plurality of openings extending through said innermost and outermost sides of each of said pair of second walls, said plurality of openings being evenly spaced apart and distributed along an entire length and width of each of said pair of second walls, said plurality of openings allowing a fluid to pass through each of said pair of second walls; and a liner having a top surface and a bottom surface, said liner being positionable within said assembly such that said bottom surface of said liner covers said top side of said base, said inner side of each of said pair of first walls and said innermost side of each of said second walls.
