Abstract
A stacked-plate cooler may include a plurality of heat exchanger plates arranged one on top of the other to define a stack. A base plate may be arranged on one end of the stack. The base plate may include a planar plate and a frame plate arranged over the planar plate. The frame plate may define a bead-shaped inner edge. The bead-shaped inner edge of the frame plate may be at least linearly connected to at least one of the plurality of heat exchanger plates.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A stacked-plate cooler comprising: a plurality of heat exchanger plates arranged one on top of the other define a stack, and a base plate arranged on one end of the stack,
wherein the base plate includes a planar plate and a frame plate arranged over the planar plate, the frame plate defining a bead-shaped inner edge, and wherein the bead-shaped inner edge of the frame plate is at least linearly connected to at least one of the plurality of heat exchanger plates.
2 . The stacked-plate cooler according to claim 1 , wherein the planar plate of the base plate has a thickness of 1 to 6 mm.
3 . The stacked-plate cooler according to claim 1 , wherein the frame plate of the base plate has a thickness of 1 to 4 mm.
4 . The stacked-plate cooler according to claim 1 , wherein the bead-shaped inner edge includes a flank angle corresponding to a rim angle of a rim of the at least one heat exchanger plate, and wherein the bead-shaped inner edge is connected areally to the at least one heat exchanger plate in the stack.
5 . The stacked-plate cooler according to claim 1 , wherein the bead-shaped inner edge defines a flank facing toward the heat exchanger plate, the flank including a height h, and further including the following relationship: b<h<a, where
a=maximum height of the bead-shaped inner edge, b=spacing between the bead-shaped inner edge and the planar plate, and further wherein the following applies: 0 ≦b<a.
6 . The stacked-plate cooler according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the planar plate and the frame plate configured as a sheet-metal punched part.
7 . The stacked-plate cooler according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the planar plate and the frame plate are braze-plated for connecting the planar plate to the frame plate.
8 . A base plate for a stacked-plate cooler comprising:
a planar plate and, a frame plate arranged on the planar plate, the frame plate including an outer edge corresponding to a periphery of the planar plate and a bead-shaped inner edge surrounding an interior and configured to receive at least one heat exchanger plate, wherein the inner edge defines a flank facing towards the interior configured to engage a rim of the at least one heat exchanger plate.
9 . The base plate according to claim 8 , wherein the flank defines a height h, and the bead-shaped inner edge includes the following relationship: b<h≦a, where
a=maximum height of the bead-shaped inner edge,
b=spacing between the bead-shaped inner edge and the planar plate, and further wherein the following applies: 0 ≦b<a.
10 . A motor vehicle, comprising: a stacked-plate cooler including a plurality of heat exchanger plates arranged stacked on top of each other to define a stack;
a base plate arranged at one end of the stack and mounting at least one heat exchanger plate, wherein the base plate includes a planar plate and a frame plate arranged on the planar plate, the frame plate defining a bead-shaped inner edge extending peripherally around the at least one heat exchanger plate, the inner edge including a flank facing towards the at least one heat exchanger plate, the flank defining a flank angle corresponding to a rim angle of a rim of the at least one heat exchanger plate; wherein the bead-shaped inner edge is connected areally to the rim of the at least one heat exchanger plate.
11 . The vehicle according to claim 10 , wherein the flank further defines a height h, and the bead-shaped inner edge includes the following relationship: b<h≦a, where
a=maximum height of the bead-shaped inner edge,
b=spacing between the bead-shaped inner edge and the planar plate, and further wherein the following relationship applies: 0≦b<a.
12 . The vehicle according to claim 10 , wherein the planar plate of the base plate has a thickness of 1 to 6 mm.
13 . The vehicle according to claim 10 , wherein the frame of the base plate has a thickness of 1 to 4 mm.
14 . The vehicle according to claim 10 , wherein at least one of the planar plate and the frame plate is configured as a sheet-metal part.
15 . The vehicle according to claim 10 , wherein at least one of the planar plate and the frame plate includes a braze foil for brazing the planar plate to the frame plate.
16 . The base plate according to claim 8 , wherein the planar plate has a thickness of 1 to 6 mm.
17 . The base plate according to claim 8 , wherein the frame plate has a thickness of 1 to 4 mm.
