Red lamp and lighting system for vehicle
Abstract
This red lamp including a blue LED as a light source for emitting blue light, and a red light-emitting member illuminated by blue light. The red light-emitting member of the red lamp includes a resin, and a complex fluoride phosphor which is a complex fluoride salt activated by manganese, that absorbs blue light and emits light containing a red component. This high-efficiency red lamp has intense light emission, providing good visibility at both the lamp front surface and the sides of the lamp, and is suitable as a lighting system for vehicle, such as a red taillight, red brake light, or the like.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A red lamp comprising a blue LED array capable of emitting blue light as a light source, and a red emissive member adapted to receive blue light, the red emissive member comprising a resin and a complex fluoride phosphor capable of absorbing blue light and emitting red component-containing light.
2 . The red lamp of claim 1 wherein the resin is a thermoplastic resin.
3 . The red lamp of claim 2 wherein the thermoplastic resin is at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polycarbonate, ABS resin and acrylic resin.
4 . The red lamp of claim 1 wherein the resin is a thermosetting resin.
5 . The red lamp of claim 4 wherein the thermosetting resin is at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a phenolic resin, epoxy resin, melamine resin and polyurethane resin.
6 . The red lamp of claim 1 wherein the complex fluoride phosphor is a manganese-activated complex fluoride salt.
7 . The red lamp of claim 6 wherein the complex fluoride salt has the formula (1):
M 2 (A 1-x Mn x )F 6 (1)
wherein M is at least one element selected from Li, Na, K, Rb, and Cs, A is at least one element selected from Si, Ge, and Ti, and x is a number of 0.001 to 0.3.
8 . The red lamp of claim 6 wherein the complex fluoride salt has the formula (2):
K 2 (Si 1-x Mn x )F 6 (2)
wherein x is a number of 0.001 to 0.3.
9 . The red lamp of claim 1 , which projects red light along an optical path, said red lamp further comprising a color filter member disposed across the optical path.
10 . The red lamp of claim 1 , which projects red light along an optical path, said red lamp further comprising a filter member disposed across the optical path for inhibiting a portion of the blue light from the blue LED array that is transmitted by the red emissive member without being absorbed in the complex fluoride phosphor, from traveling forward in the projection direction of the red lamp.
11 . The red lamp of claim 1 , which projects red light along an optical axis, wherein said blue LED array is disposed such that the travel direction of blue light along an emission optical axis of the blue LED array is different from the travel direction of red light along the projection optical axis of the red lamp, and said red emissive member is disposed at least forward in the travel direction of blue light along the emission optical axis of the blue LED array.
12 . The red lamp of claim 1 , wherein said red emissive member has an effective region thickness of at least 0.5 mm.
13 . A vehicle lighting fixture comprising the red lamp of claim 1 .
14 . The vehicle lighting fixture of claim 13 , which is a red rear position lamp or red stop lamp.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
