Abstract

The claimed invention relates to an adapter for quickly and easily attaching a booster, trap or silencer to the barrel of a firearm.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An adapter for use with a firearm, the adapter comprising:
 a substantially toroidal shaped object having a first end and a second end and a generally circular aperture therethrough,   the generally circular aperture being at least partially threaded on the first end;   a portion of the perimeter of the adapter being textured so as to provide grip; and   the second end of the adapter comprising a threaded perimeter portion.   
     
     
         2 . An adapter for use with a firearm, the firearm comprising a firearm barrel the firearm barrel having an end with a threaded exterior, the adapter comprising:
 a substantially toroidal shaped object having a first end and a second end and a generally circular aperture therethrough,   the generally circular aperture being at least partially threaded on the first end;   a portion of the perimeter of the adapter being textured so as to provide grip; and   the second end of the adapter comprising a threaded perimeter portion.
