Novel fatty acid-salicylate conjugates with enhanced therapeutic properties

Abstract

The invention provides compositions and methods for treating or preventing cancer with an inventive composition. The invention relates to the fields of biomedicine, pharmacology, and molecular biology.

         or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, hydrate, solvate, or prodrug thereof; wherein 
         R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , and R 4  are each independently chosen from H, F, O, OH, Cl, CF 3 , CHF 2 , CN, CO 2 H, C(O)OC 1 -C 4  alkyl, OC 1 -C 4  alkyl, OCF 3 , OCHF 2 , C(O)NH 2 , C(O)NHC 1 -C 4  alkyl, C(O)N(C 1 -C 4  alkyl) 2 , C 1 -C 4  alkyl, S(O) 2 NH 2 , S(O) 2 NHC 1 -C 4  alkyl, S(O) 2 N(C 1 -C 4  alkyl) 2 , OC(O)alkyl, and OC(O)C10-C24 alkenyl having 1-6 double bonds 
         X is chosen from O, NH, or NC 1 -C 4 ; 
         Y is chosen from OH, NH 2 , NHC 1 -C 4  alkyl, or N(C 1 -C 4  alkyl) 2 ; and 
         Q is chosen from a C 10   - C 24  alkyl, or a C 10 -C 24  alkenyl having 1-6 double bonds
