Abstract
A double-lipped drink holding device facilitates engagement with a mouth to inhibit spillage while drinking. The device includes a bottom wall having a perimeter edge. A side wall is coupled to and extends upwardly from the perimeter edge of the bottom wall wherein the bottom wall and the side wall are configured for holding a liquid. A top edge of the side wall defines a top opening. An upper lip extends around the top edge. A lower lip extends around the side wall proximate the upper lip.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A double-lipped drink holding device comprising:
a bottom wall having a perimeter edge; a side wall coupled to and extending upwardly from said perimeter edge of said bottom wall wherein said bottom wall and said side wall are configured for holding a liquid, said side wall having a smooth outer surface; a top edge of said side wall defining a top opening; an upper lip extending around said top edge; and a lower lip extending around said side wall proximate said upper lip, said outer surface of said side wall being smooth and tapering at a constant angle from said a bottom edge of said lower lip to said bottom wall, said lower lip extending outwardly from said outer surface of said side wall an equal distance as said upper lip wherein a tangential line to both said upper lip and said lower lip is parallel to said outer surface of said side wall.
2 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising said lower lip being parallel to said upper lip.
3 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising an outer surface of said upper lip being arcuate extending transversely from a top edge of said upper lip to a bottom edge of said upper lip.
4 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising an outer surface of said lower lip being arcuate extending transversely from an upper edge of said bottom lip to a lower edge of said bottom lip.
5 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising said lower lip being positioned in spaced relationship to said upper lip defining a gap between said upper lip and said lower lip.
6 . A double-lipped drink holding device comprising:
a bottom wall having a perimeter edge; a side wall coupled to and extending upwardly from said perimeter edge of said bottom wall wherein said bottom wall and said side wall are configured for holding a liquid, said side wall having a smooth outer surface; a top edge of said side wall defining a top opening; an upper lip extending around said top edge, an outer surface of said upper lip being arcuate extending transversely from a top edge of said upper lip to a bottom edge of said upper lip; and a lower lip extending around said side wall proximate said upper lip, said lower lip being positioned in spaced relationship to said upper lip defining a gap between said upper lip and said lower lip, said lower lip being parallel to said upper lip, an outer surface of said lower lip being arcuate extending transversely from an upper edge of said bottom lip to a lower edge of said bottom lip, said outer surface of said side wall being smooth and tapering at a constant angle from said a bottom edge of said lower lip to said bottom wall, said lower lip extending outwardly from said outer surface of said side wall an equal distance as said upper lip wherein a tangential line to both said upper lip and said lower lip is parallel to said outer surface of said side wall.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
