Wide Holster Rest

Abstract

The purpose of the Wide Holster Rest is to provide a secure mounting location for a holster and revolver or large frame gun when the holster is not attached to a belt or clothing. The design and function allows the user to easily install and remove and relocate quickly to another location. The Wide Holster Rest was designed to be lightweight, strong and portable The Injection Mold process for manufacture will use a plastic composite material which gives it strength and flexibility.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A Wide Holster Rest, comprising: a holster rest body which includes a vertical mounting base and two horizontal arms for inserting the belt loops of a holster which holds a revolver or large frame gun. A Wide Holster Rest according to  claim 1 , wherein each arm having an inner surface facing the holster which firmly holds the holster in place. A Wide Holster Rest according to claim  2 , wherein the arms of the Wide Holster Rest are curved inward at the outer end to grip the holster and create a resistance to hold in place. A Wide Holster Rest according to  claim 1 , wherein the Wide Holster Rest vertical mounting base having an adhesive strip in place is used to mount to a solid, flat non porous surface. A Wide Holster Rest according to claim  4 , wherein the adhesive strip is first applied to the Wide Holster Rest vertical mounting base then the Wide Holster Rest is mounted to the location desired. A Wide Holster Rest according to claim  5 , wherein the adhesive strip can be released to remove the Wide Holster Rest from the mounting location. A Wide Holster Rest according to claim  6 , wherein the Wide Holster Rest can be relocated to another location using a new adhesive strip. A Wide Holster Rest according to  claim 1 , wherein the body is adapted to accommodate holsters for revolvers and large frame guns in which the gun has a width dimension greater than 1″A Wide Holster Rest according to  claim 1 , wherein the body of the Wide Holster Rest is a plastic molded part formed by injection mold process.
