Evaporative cooling clothing system for reducing body temperature of a wearer of the clothing system
Abstract
The present invention discloses an evaporative cooling clothing system for reducing body temperature of a wearer of the clothing system. The clothing system may include a clothing article for covering the wearer and a liquid reservoir for storing liquid. The clothing system may also include a hollow transport defining a cavity. The hollow transport is connected to the clothing article and connected to the liquid reservoir to allow the liquid to pass through the cavity from the liquid reservoir to the clothing article. The clothing article exposes the liquid to an environment surrounding the clothing article for evaporation.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . An evaporative cooling clothing system for reducing body temperature of a wearer of the clothing system, the clothing system comprising:
a clothing article for covering an upper torso of the wearer; a liquid reservoir for storing liquid; and a hollow transport defining a cavity, the hollow transport connected to the clothing article and connected to the liquid reservoir to allow the liquid to pass through the cavity from the liquid reservoir to the clothing article at the upper torso of the wearer, the clothing article exposing the liquid to an environment surrounding the clothing article for evaporation.
2 . The system of claim 1 wherein the hollow transport includes a plurality of orifices through which the hollow transport transfers the liquid from the cavity to the clothing article at the upper torso of the wearer.
3 . The system of claim 1 further comprising a valve attached to the hollow transport to regulate the rate at which the liquid is allowed to pass through the cavity.
4 . The system of claim 1 wherein the hollow transport is removably attached to the clothing article.
5 . The system of claim 1 wherein the hollow transport is attached to the clothing article by insertion into a sheath attached to the clothing article.
6 . The system of claim 1 wherein the hollow transport is wrapped in a fabric to distribute the liquid around the hollow transport.
7 . The system of claim 1 wherein the hollow transport is tubular.
8 . The system of claim 1 wherein the clothing article includes an ultraviolet light absorber.
9 . A method of evaporatively cooling clothing to reduce body temperature of a wearer of the clothing, the method comprising:
transporting, by a hollow transport through a cavity defined by the hollow transport, a liquid under pressure from a liquid reservoir to a clothing article; transferring, by capillary action, the liquid from a first region of the clothing article to a second region of the clothing article; and exposing, by the second region of the clothing article, the liquid to an environment surrounding the clothing article for evaporation.
10 . The method of claim 9 wherein transporting, by a hollow transport through a cavity defined by the hollow transport, a liquid under pressure from a liquid reservoir to a clothing article further comprises transferring the liquid from the cavity to the clothing article through a plurality of orifices in the hollow transport.
11 . The method of claim 9 wherein transporting, by a hollow transport through a cavity defined by the hollow transport, a liquid under pressure from a liquid reservoir to a clothing article further comprises regulating, by a valve attached to the hollow transport, the rate at which the liquid travels through the cavity.
12 . An evaporative cooling clothing system for reducing body temperature of a wearer of the clothing system, the clothing system comprising:
a clothing article for covering an lower body of the wearer; a liquid reservoir for storing liquid; and a hollow transport defining a cavity, the hollow transport connected to the clothing article and connected to the liquid reservoir to allow the liquid to pass through the cavity from the liquid reservoir to the clothing article at the lower body of the wearer, the clothing article exposing the liquid to an environment surrounding the clothing article for evaporation.
13 . The system of claim 12 wherein the hollow transport includes a plurality of orifices through which the dispensing section transfers the liquid from the cavity to the clothing article at the lower body of the wearer.
14 . The system of claim 12 wherein the hollow transport is removably attached to the clothing article.
15 . The system of claim 12 wherein the hollow transport is attached to the clothing article by insertion into a sheath attached to the clothing article.
16 . The system of claim 12 wherein the hollow transport is wrapped in a fabric to distribute the liquid around an outer surface of the hollow transport.
17 . The system of claim 12 wherein the hollow transport is tubular.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
