Enhanced Watercraft

Abstract

A single-piece protective skirt of stretchable, rubberlike material having a wall thickness, formed to the outer rim shape of a surfboard or paddleboard, formed to fit over the edges of the surfboard or paddleboard with surface extension over a portion of an upper surface of the surfboard or paddleboard, shaped to be small enough to require stretching to apply the skirt over the surfboard or paddleboard.

A single-piece protective skirt of stretchable, rubberlike material having a wall thickness, formed to the outer rim shape of a surfboard or paddleboard, formed to fit over the edges of the surfboard or paddleboard with surface extension over a portion of an upper surface of the surfboard or paddleboard, shaped to be small enough to require stretching to apply the skirt over the surfboard or paddleboard. 
     
     
         2 . The single-piece protective skirt of  claim 1  wherein the skirt material is transparent or translucent, further comprising lighting elements incorporated on an inner surface of the skirt in contact with an outer surface of the surfboard or paddleboard with the skirt stretched onto the surfboard or paddleboard, the lighting elements lit being visible through the wall thickness of the skirt. 
     
     
         3 . The single-piece protective skirt of  claim 2  further comprising a power connector coupled to the lighting elements, for connecting to a power supply to power the lighting elements. 
     
     
         4 . The single-piece protective skirt of  claim 2  further comprising a battery powered power supply connected to the lighting elements. 
     
     
         5 . The single-piece protective skirt of  claim 2  wherein the lighting elements are light-emitting diodes. 
     
     
         6 . The single-piece protective skirt of  claim 4  further comprising a control system having switching control elements powering the lighting elements on and off in a programmed sequence. 
     
     
         7 . The single-piece protective skirt of  claim 6  further comprising a hand-holdable remote control coupled with the control system, allowing on-off and sequence control selection for the lighting elements.
