Spinal correction system
Abstract
A spinal correction system comprises a first member defining a longitudinal axis and including an inner surface that defines a first cavity and a second cavity. A second member defines a longitudinal axis and includes an inner surface that defines a first cavity and a second cavity. The members are connected along a first axis disposed in substantially parallel relation to the longitudinal axes. At least one first implant support is configured for disposal within the first cavities. At least one second implant support is configured for disposal within the second cavities. The members are rotatable about the first axis to space apart the members such that the inner surfaces forcibly engage the supports in releasable fixation. Methods of use are disclosed.

32 . A spinal correction system as recited in claim 31 , wherein the elongated slots each have a scalloped configuration for adjustable and selective fixation of the hinges along the elongated slots.
33 . A spinal correction system as recited in claim 31 , wherein the elongated slots are each defined by an inner surface of a respective one of the side walls, the inner surfaces of the side walls each including a plurality of projections that define recesses therebetween such that the hinges are fixed within selected ones of the recesses.
34 . A spinal correction system as recited in claim 31 , wherein the elongated slots each extend along the first axis between a first end and a second end, the apparatus being configured to translate relative to the frame from the first ends of the elongated slots to the second ends of the elongated slots.
35 . A spinal correction system as recited in claim 31 , wherein the first member comprises a planar bottom surface and the second member comprises a planar top surface that faces the bottom surface, the members being movable between a non-locking configuration in which the bottom surface engages the top surface and a locking configuration in which the bottom surface is spaced apart from the top surface and the inner surfaces forcibly engage the extenders in releasable fixation.
36 . A spinal correction system comprising:
