Closet hanger for handbags

Abstract

A closet hanger for handbags is comprised of a horizontal rod, having two upper hooks which may be hung from a closet rod in a substantially parallel configuration. The horizontal rod provides a plurality of lower hooks, from which handbags or other bulky articles may be hung. IN alternative configurations, the upper hooks may be removed and the rod supported between the closet walls by tension or other support structures.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A closet hanger for handbags, comprising:
 (a) a horizontal rod having two ends;   (b) said plurality of upper hooks being affixed near said ends of said horizontal rod;   (c) a plurality of lower hooks;   (d) flexible caps;   (e) said flexible caps covering said two ends of said horizontal rod;   
     
     
         2 . The closet hanger for handbags of  claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of upper hooks; 
     
     
         3 . The closet hanger for handbags of  claim 2 , wherein said plurality of upper hooks are removable. 
     
     
         4 . The closet hanger for handbags of  claim 2 , wherein said plurality of upper hooks are rotatable. 
     
     
         5 . The closet hanger for handbags of  claim 3 , wherein said plurality of upper hooks are rotatable. 
     
     
         6 . The closet hanger for handbags of  claim 1 , wherein said horizontal rod is flexible such that said horizontal rod is configured to be supported by friction between two vertical surfaces. 
     
     
         7 . The closet hanger for handbags of  claim 1 , wherein said horizontal rod is fitted with an internal tension system such that said horizontal rod is configured to be supported by friction between two vertical surfaces. 
     
     
         8 . The closet hanger for handbags of  claim 1 , wherein said horizontal rod is permanently affixed to two vertical surfaces.
