Abstract

A carrying case assembly for preventing an electronic device from being stolen from a user includes a case that may insertably receive an electronic device. The electronic device is retained within the case. A strap is movably coupled to the case. The strap is positionable in a deployed position. A user's hand is positionable between the strap and the case. the strap retains the case on the user's hand. The strap is positionable in a stored position so the strap is concealed within the case

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

1 . A carrying case assembly configured to prevent an electronic device from being stolen from a user, said assembly comprising:
a case configured to insertably receive the electronic device such that the electronic device is retained within said case; and a strap movably coupled to said case, said strap being positionable in a deployed position such that the user's hand is positionable between said strap and said case, said strap retaining said case on the user's hand, said strap being positionable in a stored position such that said strap is concealed within said case.

2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising an exterior wall of said case having an outer side extending between each of a front and a back side of said exterior wall of said case.

3 . The assembly according to claim 2 , further comprising said front side of said exterior wall of said case being open.

4 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising a back side of an exterior wall of said case having a strap opening extending through each of an outer and an inner surface of said back side of said exterior wall of said case.

5 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising said strap having a first end and a second end, said strap being elongated between said first and second ends.

6 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising said strap having break extending laterally across said strap, said break defining a first portion and a second portion of said strap.

7 . The assembly according to claim 6 , further comprising said first portion of said strap being slidably coupled to said second portion of said strap such that said strap has an adjustable length.

8 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising a pair of pins each extending laterally through an associated one of each of a first and a second end of said strap.

9 . The assembly according to claim 8 , further comprising each of said pair of pins engaging an associated one of a first lateral and a second lateral side of a bounding edge of a strap opening such that each of said first and second ends of said strap are coextensive with an associated one of each of a primary side and a secondary side of said bounding edge of said strap opening.

10 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising said strap being positionable in said deployed position such that a first portion of said strap is fully extended from a second portion of said strap.

11 . The assembly according to claim 10 , further comprising said strap arching upwardly from a back side of an exterior wall of said case such that the user's hand is positionable between said strap and said case.

12 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising said strap being positionable in said stored position such that a first portion of said strap is fully inserted into a second portion of said strap.

13 . The assembly according to claim 12 , further comprising said strap lying flat within a strap opening having an exposed surface of said strap being coextensive with a back side of an exterior wall of said case.

14 . A carrying case assembly configured to prevent an electronic device from being stolen from a user, said assembly comprising:
a case, an exterior wall of said case having an outer side extending between each of a front and a back side of said exterior wall of said case, said front side of said exterior wall of said case being open wherein said case is configured to insertably receive an electronic device such that the electronic device is retained within said case; said back side of said exterior wall of said case having a strap opening extending through each of an outer and an inner surface of said back side of said exterior wall of said case; a strap having a first end and a second end, said strap being elongated between said first and second ends, said strap having break extending laterally across said strap, said break defining a first portion and a second portion of said strap, said first portion of said strap being slidably coupled to said second portion of said strap such that said strap has an adjustable length; a pair of pins each extending laterally through an associated one of each of said first and second ends of said strap, each of said pair of pins engaging an associated one of a first lateral and a second lateral side of a bounding edge of said strap opening such that each of said first and second ends of said strap are coextensive with an associated one of each of a primary side and a secondary side of said bounding edge of said strap opening; said strap being positionable in a deployed position such that said first portion of said strap is fully extended from said second portion of said strap, said strap arching upwardly from said back side of said exterior wall of said case such that the user's hand is positionable between said strap and said case, said strap retaining said case on the user's hand; and said strap being positionable in a stored position such that said first portion of said strap is fully inserted into said second portion of said strap, said strap lying flat within said strap opening having an exposed surface of said strap being coextensive with said back side of said exterior wall of said case.
