Display device and control method therefor
Abstract
A method for controlling a display device comprising a touch screen is provided. The control method displaying, on the touch screen, a plurality of windows that do not overlap one another and that respectively correspond to executing, displaying a center button disposed at an intersection of a plurality of dividing lines that distinguishes the plurality of windows, receiving an input of a window size change command for changing a size of at least one of the plurality of windows, changing the size of at least one of the plurality of windows in response to the window size change command, and discontinuing the displaying of less than all of the plurality of windows and enlarging a size of at least one remaining window.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of controlling a display device including a touch screen, the method comprising:
displaying, on the touch screen, a plurality of windows that do not overlap one another and that respectively correspond to executing applications; displaying a center button disposed at an intersection of a plurality of dividing lines that distinguishes the plurality of windows; receiving an input of a window size change command for changing a size of at least one of the plurality of windows; changing the size of at least one of the plurality of windows in response to the window size change command; and discontinuing the displaying of less than all of the plurality of windows and enlarging a size of at least one remaining window.
2 . The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the window size change command is a drag gesture that starts from the center button and ends at a first point.
3 . The method as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the changing of the size of the at least one of the plurality of windows, comprises:
moving the center button where the drag gesture is input, to the first point.

6 . The method as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the enlarging of the size of the at least one remaining window, comprises:
when the first point is a left boundary line or a right boundary line of the touch screen, dividing the touch screen into an upper portion and a lower portion and displaying the at least one remaining window therein; and when the first point is an upper side boundary line or a lower side boundary line of the touch screen, dividing the touch screen into a left portion and a right portion and displaying the at least one remaining window therein.
7 . The method as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the enlarging of the size of the at least one remaining window, comprises:
when the first point is an edge of the touch screen, displaying the at least one remaining window in a full screen.
8 . (canceled)
9 . The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein, after the enlarging of the size of the at least one remaining window, the further comprising:
discontinuing the displaying of the center button.

12 . The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the center button is one of a quadrangular shape, a circular shape, an oval shape, or a polygonal shape.
13 . A display device, comprising:
a touch screen configured to display a plurality of windows that do not overlap one another and that respectively correspond to executing applications, and to display a center button disposed at an intersection of a plurality of dividing lines that distinguishes the plurality of windows; and a controller configured to control to change a size of at least one of the plurality of windows in response to a window size change command when the window size change command is input, and to control to discontinue the display of less than all of the plurality of windows and enlarge a size of at least one remaining window.
14 . The display device as claimed in claim 13 , wherein the window size change command is a drag gesture that starts from the center button and ends at a first point.
15 . The display device as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the controller is configured to control to move the center button where the drag gesture is input, to the first point.

17 . (canceled)
18 . The display device as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the controller is configured to control to divide the touch screen into an upper portion and a lower portion and display the at least one remaining window therein when the first point is a left boundary line or a right boundary line of the touch screen, and to control to divide the touch screen into a left portion and a right portion and display the at least one remaining window therein when the first point is an upper side boundary line or a lower side boundary line of the touch screen.
19 . The display device as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the controller is configured to control to display the at least one remaining window in a full screen when the first point is an edge of the touch screen.
20 . (canceled)
21 . The display device as claimed in claim 13 , wherein the controller is configured to control to discontinue the display of the center button after enlarging the at least one remaining window.
22 . (canceled)
23 . (canceled)
24 . The display device as claimed in claim 13 , wherein the center button is one of a quadrangular shape, a circular shape, an oval shape, or a polygonal shape.
25 . A method of controlling a display of a touch screen, the method comprising:
displaying, on the touch screen, a plurality of windows; displaying a center button at an intersection of a plurality of dividing lines that distinguishes the plurality of windows; and changing a size of at least one of the plurality of windows in response to a movement of the center button.
26 . The method as claimed in claim 25 , wherein, when the center button is moved in a direction away from the at least one of the plurality of windows, the size of the at least one of the plurality of windows is enlarged.
27 . The method as claimed in claim 25 , wherein, when the center button is moved in a direction towards the at least one of the plurality of windows, the size of the at least one of the plurality of windows is reduced.
28 . The method as claimed in claim 25 , wherein, when the center button is moved in a direction away from the at least one of the plurality of windows, a size of one or more windows other than the at least one of the plurality of windows is reduced based on a ratio used for enlarging the at least one of the plurality of windows.
29 . The method as claimed in claim 25 , wherein, when the center button is moved in a direction towards the at least one of the plurality of windows, a size of one or more windows other than the at least one of the plurality of windows is enlarged based on a ratio used for reducing the at least one of the plurality of windows.
30 . The method as claimed in claim 25 , wherein, when the center button is moved to an edge of the touch screen, the further comprising:
displaying one of the plurality of windows in a full screen.
